Location and friendliness of staff
We were in room 8 and I feel the window should have a screen
By the beach.
Auto light in the restroom.
This hostel is everything a traveler is looking for. Exceptionally clean, friendly, quiet, safe. Very helpful and courteous staff. Best location close to beach, town, restaurants, bus , train and supermarket. Unbelievable value makes it the obvious choice. Amazing find in Santa Barbara.
The location is good, just near the Amtrak station. The bed is clean enough. Free breakfast was provided, although the variety was a bit limited. The front desk was friendly. Overall, a wonderful experience
When trains pass by at night, the noise is quite loud. Besides, the upper bunk is quite high, so it's not very convenient to climb up.
Great hostel by all measures. If you want to be social (as hostels are generally) they’ve got many activities and the staff are very friendly. It’s a well ordered establishment and seems like it’s run under good leadership.
The bedsheets were not changed when I check-in. I found some blonde long strand of hairs on my bed and other dirt
Matthew our host was very welcoming! The space was clean. Everyone was respectful. The bathroom and showers were really clean. Its walking distance from state street and down the street from the pier!
Breakfast and chill place.
Smelled funny in rooms, but its a hostel and still good.
Friendly staff, great location and atmosphere, comfortable quiet beds, nice and clean facilities.
I got a bed right by the door which was noisy and disruptive.
Bathrooms need more essentials like paper towels, hand soap and trash ?
Good location, clean and quiet. Highly recommend
Everything for good price
Breakfast was alright but it was nice to have that option anyway! I enjoyed having the eggs and pancakes they offered as well as the fresh coffee provided.
I think being on the upper bed wasn't the best deal for me because of my back issues but it was okay nonetheless. I just wished the stairs wasn't too vertical because at times it felt like I would slip down.
Location! Fantastic! Steps away from Amtrak, like 2-3 blocks from West Beach in Santa Barbara. Restaurants, Shops, everything right there. Short walk up to wonderful State Street! Staff and General Manager, Chaz, all went out of their way and above and beyond to help in any way … and most welcoming. We (our family) really have to evaluate spending BIG DOLLARS for hotels? THANKS, ITH Santa Barbara????‼️
Snoring but what can you do about that???
We met wonderful and interesting people during our stay. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We slept well and had been told by a friend that the nearby train might be a problem and it was not at all. We did not take much advantage of the food and extras offered, but when we did, everything was great.
Bathroom situation was mostly satisfactory, but a time or 2 we had to wait.
I love the location and friendly staff. Clean environment.
The location
Loved where it was located, 5 minute walk from the beach, really cute homey set up. They had events everyday, we had an open mic night the day I was there.
There should be air conditioning in the rooms, I felt like I was suffocating when I was asleep with my curtain closed. I also noticed ants around certain areas including the kitchen as well, not excessive but definitely not ideal to see.
