The Franciscan Hotel

The reception was very welcoming. They had fresh baked cookies and coffee/tea for guests. The room was organized and very clean. In-room coffee option was yummy Lav Azza Espresso. We asked for an iron and they brought it to our room very quickly.

The room needs hooks! For used clean towels, coats, purses clothes etc. We ended up piling clothes on top of our luggage, which isn¿t ideal.

Complaints from the front desk. It¿s almost 10 am and he tells us to quiet down while we are in the jacuzzi. Mind you it¿s 5 adults all we were doing was laughing and talking. It was as if we were allowed to speak at all.

The hotel turned out to be much better than I expected. The staff was very friendly, the room was recently renovated, it¿s very clean and the liens are comfy.

The room is small but it¿s fine for us.

everything else. The room was not truly clean. Marks on the walls. The carpet has not seen a cleaning in ages! My feet were dirty from the carpet. The refrigerator kept cycling all night, with a whiz then a knock. Could not sleep. Would NOT stay again

Location (in Santa Barbara) and staff. Staff were very polite and very helpful.

Price was not great for, essentially, an average category of motel with some ¿window dressing¿ in the landscape and outside trim. Most of the world now uses soft-close toilet seats. Drinking ¿glasses¿ are the cheapest plastic possible. Spend$ inside

The breakfast was poor, went to restaurant for breakfast instead. The bed was very uncomfortable, we did not sleep good at all, which put a damper on our sightseeing.

Nice rooms, comfortable bed, and a good location. I was able to walk to the Funk Zone for some good beer and food.

Very small room. No elevator. Jacuzzi was far away from the pool.

Excellent location within walking distance to the beach areas. For the age of the hotel, the bathroom had been nicely renovated!

Only plastic cups for water and coffee! I assume that this may be to reduce overhead expense but I wouldn't consider it great for the environment!

Ambience, staff, location

This was my third time there. Excellent location and hotel. Old world charm with all amenities. The breakfast is also very nice especially with the breakfast ambassador. This is one block from the beach. It is one of the finest hotels anywhere.

Nothing at all. Quality location and staff who actually become friends. Exquisite.....

It was central to our needs, in a quiet neighborhood, close to the beach. The continental breakfast was convenient. It is always great to have free wifi.

AC in a small room is always difficult. It worked but we are not used to the humidity and being in a small space can be drafty if you have to be too close to the AC unit.

Loved the quaint motel-style rooms, and used the bicycles the next morning.

I loved everything

The room was very clean and spacious! The location was ideal, as it was close to various shops, restaurants, and bars. My husband and I also enjoyed the small breakfast bar that was provided in the morning!

My husband and I had a squeaky bed so it was kind of difficult to stay asleep in the middle of the night. They also charged me $5 for a sanitary pad and tampon :(

Front desk was great! Ben stood out...friendly and great advice for the area!

Our room had a huge container in front but not a bother.
