    Pros +

    • Room was clean
    • Wreath on door
    • Welcomed with a glass of champagne. Breakfast was quiche and coffee which we took back to our room. Rooms were clean and fresh.

    Cons -

    • Stairs to access the room, steep and several steps and difficult to get luggage up, staff not always available to assist, only 1 staff member running everything, card was charged again upon checkout and had to call several times to ensure refund was given
    • There were no wash cloths in room. Room was dirty, headboard was stained, decor pillow was stained. Employees were not helpful, courteous or friendly.
    • Wish I'd check on bathtubs and hot tubs (which it did NOT have, but never said they did). Parking was fine, but tight with a truck.

Charming rooms and very clean. We stayed an extra day because we enjoyed it so much. Would recommend highly.

Tiny parking spaces which were very difficult to get into and out of.

This is a quality hotel for the money. It is boutique-style. They keep it very clean. It is a solid 4-star. Staff is pleasant and welcoming. They provided a nice welcome beverage. 0.8 mile easy walk to the water. I’m a very seasoned global travel

Was unable to enjoy their breakfast service but that is not a negative reflection on the hotel. I feel that everyone was maximizing the level of services that could be provided during this Covid environment.

    Cute room.

Horrible location. Traffic and sirens all night. Stayed in room 9, extremely hot. Can't open the window unless you want to hear all the chaos outside. Bleach stains on the sheets. One tiny bottle of tap water in the room. Stairs are steep and slippery. Do not bring elderly people here.

The home and back of the home rooms are so quaint and lovely. The decor is fantastic and the amenities are great! The breakfast room and the large high windows were my favorite. Conner stood out with his exceptional customer service.

The breakfast was fine, but I thought it was odd to serve pancakes with english muffins. A lot of carbs. No meat, so it would have been nice to have sausage or bacon. I also thought it was eggs to order but the option wasn't given.

Beautiful property. Our room was very nice and cozy. The fireplace made it extra special.

Our room was a little noisy being located on the street side of the property and adjacent to the lobby.

    Dog friendly, comfortable, serene.

Everything was nice. Had to go through other people's spaces to get to our room up top. Parking is tight.

Dirty and looks nothing like photos online. Do NOT stay here for more than $150 a night. Will be contacting management.

    Cute and quaint aesthetics.

There were ants all over the bedroom. Traffic noise was loud. Space was too small for two people in room 3. Parking was even smaller and difficult to get in and out of parking spaces.

Pull-out bed is terrible, room was very dirty, not great for family stay at all. Breakfast was not buffet and did not have choices for kids.

The Hideaway is a very clean and comfortable stay. Brendan was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious. We loved staying here.

Alexandra, the inn keeper, made our stay the most enjoyable experience! She is one of the best I have ever met. Her service and hospitality were excellent. We will return to the Hideway as our Santa Barbara accommodation.

The location is great, but it is a bit hard to find immediately from the hectic entrance on Montecito. Just be prepared for its immediate appearance! The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful and the room was so nice, clean and comfortable. There is a definite feeling of being in a treehouse. A big plus was the trail just a block away up to the SBCC Campus and gardens overlooking the harbor. Such an awesome little hike for me and my dog! Frankly, this was a big surprise and a treat to be able to get to the beach without driving or really negotiating any major streets beyond Montecito. Pershing Park is just right there as well- so plenty of space to exercise my dog.

Beautiful bed and breakfast and nice staff. Booked the suite unit on the top floor.

The shower did not work and was not distributing very little water. It was really stressful as I was trying to get ready for a Gala event and struggled to get enough pressure from the shower head to rinse the shampoo and conditioner. As I went to check out housekeeping let me know that the water was going back into the wall and flooded the room below. Disappointed they even rented my room to me knowing the shower did not work. Wouldn't the cleaning team have caught this when they tried to clean the shower from the previous guest? They said they would credit me back 50% of the night for all the inconvenience but the credit never came through.

Very cute hotel. Rooms were darling and completely redone. Love the addition of a tea pot to make tea/coffee in the morning.

They said that breakfast was included from 8-10 but when we went down at 9:00 to get it, it was completely unorganized. We stood there for a few minutes, but the person at the front desk did not acknowledge us. All that was out was tea/coffee, fruit, and danishes, but it looked like some guests had eaten eggs from the dishes left on tables. It didn’t appear like there was any wait staff. We ended up walking out, checking out before check out time, and going to purchase breakfast elsewhere. Also, parking was very tight for larger vehicles.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Kind staff, lovely rooms, very clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast. I can go on and on. I loved everything about this hotel ❤️

Loved breakfast, and the room! And the staff was great!

    The fireplace didn't work.
