Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel Union Square

Having stayed here many times, it’s our go-to for SF visits. Location, amenities, staff, rooms,etc. all top notch especially for the price.

This is an unusual stay - a theme hotel for Marines! Lobby was beautiful and displays were very interesting. Rooms were large, clean and quiet. Breakfast was good.

For some reason, while we were there, they had canceled the happy hour, bar, and dinner service. Parking in Union Square area is either hard to find on the street or expensive in lots.

Property was ideally situated for our trip. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent.

On arrival on our first night we went to the hotel bar. The barman was surly, unhelpful and rude. Fortunately all the other staff we encountered during our stay couldn't have been nicer.

The location. Next to the BART, tram and the bus stops. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The complimentary breakfast buffet is good and so is the drink. The view from the top floor is really nice. All the staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfy.

Lovely hotel and club in a great location. My room was very spacious, with a very comfortable bed. Whilst the decor felt a little dated, everything was exceptionally clean. I really enjoyed the coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was plentiful with great variety. I also ate dinner there and the food was good with friendly service. It was lovely to have the live music in the club. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. Very good value for money.

I had to pay 100 dollars deposit on my debit card. Over one month later it still hasn't been returned, so i will need to chase that with them. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The hotel is located in a good area with easy access to public transportation. Very good breakfasts with a wide variety of products, great fruit salad, good juices, and unlimited coffee. Very friendly staff. Luggage storage available after check-out. Stylish lobby.

Rooms could use a bit of refreshing.

Noise from adjacent rooms apparent but expected as it is an older building.

Good location for getting around the city. Room was spacious with good facilities. Breakfast was included and happy hour was great! Staff were all friendly and helpful. Really interesting artefacts and information about the Marines.
