- Front desk staff was very nice. Loved the rooftop. The rooms were cute and clean.
- The location! Near downtown and Balboa Park.
- The hotel was old but the staff more than made up for it in willingness to assist with any concerns may have had . Hotel employee as a desk clerk was very helpful as well as Hotel employee a concierge who was more than willing to plot our course for the d
Cons -
- What greatly dampened the experience was the multiples convo, notes, calls and texts about going to a time share presentation. ...and wifi wasn't free. I will never return to this property due to the above solicitation during stay
- $20 per night parking seems a little excessive.
- Had a lot of traffic noise from Park St. As well as the area was surrounded by several homeless encampments , which contributed to a feeling of malease when walking the neighborhood..

Kitchenette was nice, place is clean, staff are friendly
Ridiculous parking rates, valet charges $30 and were never at the door. Housekeeping never cleaned the room during a 3 day stay, but they did drop off letters asking me to buy into their timeshare program into my room daily. WiFi is badly priced.
The room and staff.
I wish the neighborhood was a little nicer but that's not the hotel's fault.
The staff, location and amenities were amazing
The WiFi cost money, so many hotels have free WiFi now it seems ridiculous to have to pay for it .
Property Cancelled on us before we even got there.
Our stay was cancelled last minute. So we were very disappointed. We were looking forward to staying there. Then relocated us to another world mark hotel which was out of the way. We were still being pestered to join a timeshare once we check-in. So keep in mind, when you stay at any of their workmark hotels, they will hassle you into joining a timeshare.
All I liked was the bed and one girl that was working the parking garage.
First off we were relocated to a place that was 18 min away from our venue. We booked months in advance n then we get an email 3 days b4 our stay, stating we can't stay there. There's a festival in town, all other hotels were booked or had extra charges for last min stay. They gave us no time for adjustments, we had to take it. When we check in we have to pay extra for parking. We asked to have the fee waved but no. They said it's not their fault for the over booking. We get to our rooms we have ants in one bathroom. They have someone spray n put a bug gel...We leave n come back there's more ants in the second bathroom so someone comes up again to spray. They then tell us to not leave any food out. They look in the fridge n say to keep all sweets away. We just got in n we had no food anywhere...We also had this black stuff floating around in the back bathroom toilet... we had tried to talk to the manager when we checked in but she was in a meeting. I'm on vacation n tried to enjoy my time. I had no time to b calling them all day. When we checked out we asked if they could wave the parking fees for all the inconvenience but they said no because it's a 3rd party n they need to b paid. They would not pay. They blamed booking for everything n they made no promises to comp anything or accommodate for any of their terrible services. Never ever stay here... I've been in the worst hotels b4 but never had i had any problems like this.
I like Art Deco, so I was very pleased to see so many Art Deco features in the hotel - whether they were original or not. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Balboa Park or Gaslamp District.Rooms were super comfortable and clean. Thoughtfully and stylishly decorated with old pictures or posters of San Diego in the early 20th century.Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a group of relatives from California, Texas, and the Netherlands, staying at Worldmark Balboa Park for a wedding. Since the hotel was fully booked for that weekend, I stayed in a different hotel nearby - and was free to walk in and out to meet my relatives. I really appreciated this.
The Staff kindly
They never sent me my invoice with the information I required. They charged me twice the Taxes.
Great staff who were helpful, made sure we had everything we needed, and greeted us every time we went in and out during our trip!
The rooms had a old smell to them and overall the place does seem pretty dated. In addition the surrounding area is a little rough. The staff make up for the location and any other shortcomings.
Did not know breakfast was being offered. Everyone was professional and respectful but I found the parking attendents to be the most professional, respectful, courteous and super helpful.
Just the location
Comfortable spacious room with separate living room/kitchenette. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Elevator broken, also no food on site. Room not serviced even once over my Five day stay.
Not much to like about this facility. It is like a lone standing structure in between highway entrance. It is far from the hotel to any meaningful destination.
everything! I booked this on Booking.com assuming to be a hotel. I realized upon checking it is a timeshare. I have been harassed by front desk to tour other facilities. When I checked in I was asked for my ID. I gave them my passport and they told me this is not an ID. I was speechless. I gave my DL and it worked. I am wondering if I would be from different continent and I would not have driver's license then how would I check in?
Good location, big room and great roof top terrace
It’s actually a timeshare property and you get hit with a sales pitch as you arrive trying to get you to come along to presentation the next day. Also still awaiting the refund of the $20 placeholder on my card that was actually taken as a payment.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooftop was clean and beautiful at night. The room was comfortable and clean!
Outstanding, friendly, and professional staff! Nice, spacious one-bedroom unit with small but very functional and well-appointed kitchenette. Nice rooftop deck. Fantastic valet service. Very clean! It feels like the employees care about guests comfort.
Some minor traffic noise and one small elevator, but it’s a historic building, so you get the charm but also the effects of when it was constructed.
Art deco decor; location near Balboa Park
No restaurant on site; paper goods were low quality & did not compare well with rest of high quality items.
This hotel is close to everything.really nice to have the little kitchen.
I don't like paying 20.00 a night to park.but I feel everyone is changing for parking now.used to be free a few years back.
No breakfast provided. It was okay.
Nothing. It was good.
