    Pros +

    • The staff were so friendly and accommodating.
    • This was our 3rd time staying here and I have to say it was a let down. We like that its at the far end of Shelter Island and it is quiet and peaceful in most cases, this time not so much. We usually like the firepits and the relaxing atmosphere.
    • Lush landscaping, beautiful resort outdoors, things to do and experience.

    Cons -

    • The room I was in was not updated as were some of the other rooms at the hotel it was a little dated.
    • Reserved a King room but told there wasn't any Kings & we got placed on the 1st floor facing the docks. It had extremely noisy A/C unit and a lady at the firepits shouting foul language. Herd of elephants above our room. Front desk had no alternatives.
    • No room service.

We love the location, heated pool, and fire pit access. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is great for families.

$25 stuffed animal on the bed. Hotel wants you to take it without reading the fine print on the tag, and then they charge you. $7 bottles of water on each night stand. So gimmicky.

The location was beautiful. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor. Also, the landscape areas were well maintained and they had fire pits and gazebos in the back.

Even though the areas were kept clean, there was a horrible smell as we approached the main lobby area. I believe it was coming from the mulch, but I¿m not sure. also, the bathroom tile in our shower was painted over and some of the paint was peeling off.

    The view

The prices at the restaurant for 2 salads I Pais $70 that's crazy expensive, the parking is ridiculous, what's the point of going thru a website to get a good price at a hotel when the hotel charges you another amount to stay with them, being a 3 starhotel

Location is awesome! Clean room. Heated pool/spa. Cabanas are nice, and the fire pits are great. We made s¿mores at night. The play area was a great hit with the kids. The atmosphere is great!

The keys didn¿t always work. So we had to stop by the front desk to get straightened out.

The hotel is well appointed with beautiful grounds and rooms and friendly and accommodating staff. Our room had a lovely patio and was steps away from the hotels¿ private beach. Our room was very clean and had the most comfortable bed.

    Location and staff was great.

They charged my card $--- for a prepaid room when they were supposed to take a $300 deposit for incidentals¿ and no one could tell me why. Also, our room smelt AWFUL! I had to spray perfume through the room and open the doors.

A true resort experience. Classy, historic, resort in an ideal setting on San Diego Bay. First class restaurant overlooking the marina.

The AC unit was a little noisy. No screen door on the balcony.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 11-15-2022

Restaurant service at Vessel bad, could not even be seated at 10:30am on a Sunday and only two groups in the restaurant...it was overpriced..$15 for two coffees. N Parking charge $42 is price gouging when street parking is free..virtually no one paid fo

Staff at the pool poloma was great, room very clean updated and well appointed... This is good above is the bad

Location and privacy! Loved it! Felt safe there also!

Rooms were smaller than I expected, a screen on the patio door would have been nice but not an actual issue. There were a few esthetic issues-mostly in the bathroom-trim and flooring. The shower head was also pretty clogged so not much water pressure.

    3Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 3-22-2022

    Its location and its staff.

Hotel bathroom shower and bath needs renovation, took 30 minutes to fill up the tub, restaurant poor service long waits and terrible food prep, not good quality.

    6Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 3-14-2022

The hotel was beautiful and in a great location.

For a place that charges $---/night after all the added fees, we were disappointed in the service. Pool staff was pretty short with guests, their restaurant wasn¿t staffed enough to get in without a reservation or 1.5 hr wait.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 1-3-2022

    Staff and location were excellent.

This is not a 4 star hotel, its a 2.5-3 star hotel room with 4 star amenities, service and prices. Everyone we dealt with was great and the hotel amenities were top notch, but the room itself was what you expect from a $-- per night hotel, not a $---

    10LindaPosted on: 9-25-2021

$80 in additional fees per day. Parking and Resort Fee.

    4Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 9-8-2021

They cleaned our room second day

Yes nothing was explained about the hotel when we checked in and one bar staff was extremely rude

    2MartinaPosted on: 8-2-2021

Dirty, hidden fees, total is not worth for what it is.

the mold in the shower, the extra fees not included in the price of the room, the extra parkung fee not included...deceptive beach front claim
