Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayside

i did not like the Barbie Pop Up. So many issues from food to service to service a meat burger when I dont eat meat. I dont like thr $60 valet w no optional parking. I wish i knew that from the beginning

Nice front desk service and helpful people.

The guests next door had a loud party in the middle of the night.

Location was the best thing about this hotel.

The toilet was dirty upon arrival (pee stain). There were areas throughout the home where you could tell had not been cleaned or wiped down. Fingerprints on bed side lamps, etc.. I was not impressed with the hotel at all. Disappointed.

No running water in rooms, due to water main break. No compensation given ,just bottled water

When we arrived we were put in a room by the pool so we immediacy asked to be moved. We were then given a room with no light. The next morning we moved to a great room and got a1 customer service

Location, nice bar with fire pits, open air check-in. Several of the staff members were polite.

Two front desk staff were impatient & rude - didn't listen well & talked over me when I called to report that I had been overcharged & couldn't figure out why. It turned out I was overcharged for valet for 5 nights instead of 1 night- finally resolved.

The cleanliness, staff and location were all great and overall the hotel is really nice and modern.

Stayed her multiple times and maybe it¿s because I was put in a higher floor but I could hear the planes flying by this time and also there were a lot of children at this hotel which I hadn¿t experienced before here.

Valet parking was a must. $50 a day was crazy. They charged it cause they knew there was no parking anywhere and you would take it no matter what.

Great customer service, friendly staff, great location, open air lobby and fire pits seating!

One of our rooms wasn't properly cleaned - we found many pieces of a chalky crumbling cookie like substance by one of the night tables next to the bed- that should have been vacuumed up if the room had been well cleaned.

They gave me a little goody bag & b-day card when we told them it was my birthday. I would suggest to ask for a room w an outside view rather than inside, you can only see the hotel courtyard.

They charge $40 for valet parking & do not offer self parking. We did try another lot but it would have been about the same anyway. Also, when we checked out they tried to add on additional charges & nights that weren't ours but it wasn't an issue to fix.

Location, couple minute walk to restaurants, bars, city park, waterfront. oddly Little Italy neighborhood has zero grocery stores, or markets. the closest is the CVS Pharmacy about 1/2 mile walk

no black-out curtains, noisy room - right next to railroad trax (20 feet away!) dysfunctional staff - stay for 7 days but no clean of room - made appointment did not show up, but they called the nite prior claiming service was prior day. stay elsewhere!

Only place to eat breakfast is in the bar area, cold eggs, no bacon, one choice of toast that didn't even fit in the small toaster, greasy potatoes for $20/person. Water shut off in middle of shower. Couldn't fix, had to switch hotels.

Valet only and very expensive. They do not pick up their calls. Very difficult to get any staff. The blankets are so thin and small. I had to call for extra blankets. Cleaning services appt only. Beds are hard and not comfy. U can hear ppl outside.

Parking is horrendous. If you go in a weekend, plan to park in airport parking or look for an hour or two.

was not happy that the only option is Vallet. would I have known it was $---/night, I would of gotten another hotel nearby.

Easy access and location. Modern rooms and facilities.

It was confusing, there are two separate hotels using the same elevators and check in counter but have separate amenities depending on which hotel/room you stayed in. I felt like the manager thought I was trying to steal something from them!

No parking, payed extra for bay view & got the front of the building blocking most of our view.
