Surfer Beach Hotel

The location.

The furniture in the poor area wasn’t clean. Pool and beach towels were not available until late afternoon. Laundry needed to be scheduled after 9:30am. The reasoning was to not to disturb other guests, the location didn’t justify the reasoning?

Carpet was filthy, furniture shabby and needs dusting/cleaning.

The location was amazing. Beds were comfortable, fridge and elevator worked great.

Room was worn down and old carpet in the room. Hotels by the beach should have tile, especially for sand and bare feet. Patio views included the roof of a restaurant and sounds of the running equipment. Partial view of ocean and surfers was nice.

I¿ve stayed here so many time over the last 25 years. The location of this hotel is perfect. I¿ll be staying at the hotel next store in the future.

Staff! The night we arrived the front desk lady was extremely rude and not helpful. Then add they put us in a room with no balcony. Paying for a more expensive room with no balcony! They were not able to accommodate a room move bc we were staying 4 days!

To start they have no microwave very small shower with no hot water. I was extremely overcharged for this caliber of room. There was a 50$ non refundable pet fee that I was not aware of until check in. There was a 25$ parking fee that I was not aware of!

The hotel was under construction, and I believe I was taken in an upsell for an ocean view room. The room had many faukts including doors thst were coming off their hinges and we saw at least two silverfish bugs in our room. The amenities were sub par.

It was not air conditioned. Although it didnt advertise that it was, it did NOT advertise that it wasn''t. Old carpet old bathroom. I was unimpressed.

The appearance of the hotel did not appeared as it did on the web site It has been the most unsanitary hotel I've seen. I have been or experienced such unsanitary conditions. Dirty walls, doors, elevators. Garbage cans full of garbage and dozens of fl

The entire hotel was unsanitary. I would not or never honor recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good Location.

It is an old hotel. Rooms do not reflect any updates. Heaters not working and generally dingy. Would not recommend at the prices they charge.

I had a fourth floor ocean view room. The view was spectacular and overshadowed the negative aspects of this hotel. Staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Free coffee in the main lobby was a nice treat.

The rooms were very outdated and semi-clean. The hotel, overall, needs to be updated. The elevator broke down while during our stay, and the city was doing work on the sidewalk which was very loud. The hotel wouldn't compensate for either of these.

Employees were all courteous and helpful. The lady  who cleaned our room was very efficient and personable. We really liked her.

Location, location, location!!! Steps from the beach and easy parking. Staff was attentive and provided decent customer service.

Had to pay $18 for parking for a worn out room. The interiors are very worn (soiled curtains, peeling paint, old worn carpet, outdated furniture, dark bathroom shower) and the entire hotel needs a makeover as it looks like it's never been updated.

Location was great right in the beach and in walking distance to stores and food establishments. Pool was nice. Other than that, I wasn't very comfortable.

Not what I expected for a 3star. Room needed some deep cleaning. Drapes had a layer of dust, cobwebs on light fixtures and carpet was dirty/ smelly. Looked like the cabinets & bedframe were made of scrap wood DIY project. Bed uncomfortable. Needs updating

Two nights stay cost over $---, room was danky, old, small bathroom. Stains on the bed spread. I thought the two night stay should have been about $--- total.

At night, large roof top A/C units below us were loud enough to drown out the sound of the ocean. But they were quiet in the morning and we awoke to the sound of the surf.
