The Pearl Hotel

The room, pool, bike rentals, coffee, music by the pool, and overall ambiance.

There was one young woman who worked the front desk who made you feel like she was too busy to be bothered. She had a lackadaisical attitude and was a bit officious.

It was very nice! It looked amazing, was clean, the staff was very kind, and the restaurant was amazing. Will definitely stay here if we visit in the future!

They took an old motel and made it cool. Good service and convenient location.

Rooms have no view due to location but I just sat by the pool. Pool doesn't get too much sun due to walls etc..

The cleanliness of the room. The staff got me into a room early. Told the desk gal I knew I was early and would just like to leave my suitcase some place secure. She was very accommodating in finding an early room for me.

No refrig or microwave. Would have appreciated a little coffee pot to make some coffee.

Loved the unique qualities of the hotel. It was it's own, and not like the standard hotel.

Pool was Ice cold - If you don't heat your pool, it should be listed as seasonal, or unheated. It was unusable, and full of leaves.Only access to the pool was through the bar.Room we were given was not the room pictured at booking.

The hotel is located on a very busy and noisy road.

Staff was exceptional-ver accommodating and extremely helpful. Great location, modern room and great body products.

Going from the room to the lobby-a bit of a task especially if folks were eating poolside. Could use more hooks to hang items in the bathroom and room/ storage. Working the TV (2 controls-when you only need one?) and room temp was not so easy. WiFi in and out for the TV and literally had to go to the front desk to figure out how to manage the room temp (wouldn't a thermostat be easier?)

Comfortable beds, nice linens, quiet.

We were there when the restaurant was closed so we didn’t get to try it.

Staff was exceptionally nice! Everyone we encountered was great. Food was amazing! Creative drinks at Ponyboy, the onsite restaurant. Fun trivia! Decent priced. Large room. Felt like it was a (0’s throwback, fun!

No elevator for luggage was a bit of a pain.

The woman at reception when we checked in was great.

The had a private event the night we stayed. It was like having a party in the room, it was incredibly loud.

The hotel is beautifully renovated and the room was spacious and clean.

Soundproofing? Nonexistent. The walls might as well be tissue paper. The first two nights we just overheard casual chatter outside the room, tolerable enough. But on the third night we were unwilling audience members to a very enthusiastic performance next door. From 3 to 5 am they moved their love story from the bathroom to the bedroom, and while they seemed to enjoy every minute, we would have preferred not to have front row seats. Five stars for romance, zero for rest.

All the rooms surround the pool, which is adjacent to the very busy bar, therefore its quite noisy until the early hours when the bar closes. Parking can be a problem.

Limited services, lots of road noise

Arrived to a restaurant buyout that we were not informed of. The buyout limited bar, restaurant and the ability to use the pool. Property has lots of road noise, even in the rear rooms.

After a long journey the greeting at reception was professional but warm and welcoming. He gave us all the help and information we needed, I could have chatted to him all night, it was like going to stay at a friends! All the staff were exceptional, going out of there way to provide information and excellent service. The bar area (fantastic cocktails) restaurant (fabulous food) and the small but perfectly formed pool area was great. It had a 50's vibe which really gave a great ambience. It was easy to get around, lovely runs , great coffee shops all close by. This was my favourite hotel of the holiday and we travelled around! I wish we lived closer I would come again or go to one of the other hotels.

I thought the nod to the original style with a modern twist was really fun.

I expected a bit of a different layout with the room. Also no pillows provided for the couch, luckily we didn’t need all pillows on the bed.

Super cute retro hotel…such a hip vibe. Convenient location near the marina the airport in downtown. Comfortable bed & pillows.

Limited parking but you can easily Uber or Lyft from the airport.

Very cute and quaint

Our room was right by a storage room and early in the morning (about 4am( you could hear someone going into the room and it actually sounded like someone was trying to get into our room at first.

Was looking for something different than usual hotel for our short stay in California. This property met my expectations. Dinner by the pool where I enjoyed a variety of appetizers and desserts topped off the day!

The street noise was a bit much, but we were both able to sleep well in the comfy bed.

Sadly, the restaurant was just not so great.
