The Guild Hotel, San Diego Downtown, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Nice medium sized hotel in great location downtown. Really nice bar and restaurant on site and staff is very friendly and helpful.

Room was a bit smaller than anticipated and no closet or fridge, just a small wardrobe. Parking is expensive but likely on par for downtown.

The destination fee is complete scam and the person who explained it to me at check in misrepresented it in important ways. I will not go back there.

The location is perfect to walk to the , parking facility is convenient, the hotel facilities rooms are clean with high end toiletries.

The hotel allows pets which is fine, but it was because of this we found pet hair on bed etc. Drunk guests who drink at the bar downstairs scream all night, which caused 4 nights of no sleep for me and my wife, and the staff did absolutely nothing it.

Room is too small, there are surcharges like destination fee and parking charge.

Charge of additional fees imposed at arrival per day. about $40 per day to use their services. When you go to conferences you don't need the hotel services, you have the conference providing the food and drinks.

We loved staying at The Guild. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is really nice. We enjoyed the outside space while we sipped on our complimentary coffee.

Definitely location

No coffee maker in room, no restaurant which also means no lounge. Stairs only for entry, 2 doormen held open the doors on my arrival but never lever offered assistance as I struggled in heels up the stairs. Tiny room, no amenities.

The parking is terrible. And the public parking garage across the street isn’t open on the weekends.

Unique historical building, comfortable bed, well appointed outside sitting area.

Room feel like a very small high end dorm room. No closet, no drawers. Very understaffed due to Covid and hotel should have remained closed. No valet and nearest parking lots had odd hours, so had to drive around and park at metered spot every two hours.

The quality was high for the price so it was a great value and they had a cute trendy bar downstairs with lovely open seating and hip house music.

Rooms were quite small with no refrigerator but still well decorated and modern.

Not a thing!

The bed was one of the best I have slept on; the bar staff accommodated my late arrival and still got me something from the kitchen even though it had just closed.

The front entrance stairs are challenging for my age and knees; doorman assisted with arrival but early morning departure I was on my own.

Very cool hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was nice. The staff was helpful.
