    Pros +

    • The restaurant which is not even part of the hotel
    • Nice hotel location for me qas good and restaurants nearby.
    • I love Hotel MAC, I stayed in the most exquisite suite which was immaculate.

    Cons -

    • The manager was condescending and rude
    • Near a train yard its a little noisy at night sometimes.
    • We needed a clearer idea of where the annex is in relation to the main building. Finding the parking lot in the dark is also difficult. The shower door in our room did not close properly and so water leaked out all over the bathroom floor.

No breakfast. Wasn't expecting one. This is a very interesting hotel. We stayed in the Annex, which is a little hard to find. It does not look impressive from the outside but the interior decor is beautiful and unusual with high ceilings, wood panelling, a nice sitting room and eating area, brand new bathroom with marble floors. Compared to what you get for twice as much in Berkeley, or SF, it's a good deal.

It is in a cute part of Richmond, an area we'd never explored before. Lots of interesting shops.

The room was narrow with only one window, so despite a tall ceiling, it felt claustrophobic. A skylight was undoubtedly created to open things up, but for me, it just introduced light directly toward my eyes, interrupting my sleep. Others may find it just fine.

My daughter lives very close to the Hotel in Point Richmond so it was convenient. Room was clean, comfortable bed and I enjoyed the coffee in the morning. The directions and keypad codes were clear. It was nice to walk to everything...restaurants, cafe, shoping etc. Cute town!

I was in the Annex part of the hotel right next to the train tracks. The train was unbelievably loud and seemed to stop for sometime. I understood why the hotel owner left ear plugs. I did use them.

Great, quiet location for a reasonable rate for the Bay Area.

We were warned about the noise from the train station across the street from our section of the hotel but it wasn't much of a nuisance.

The rooms are perfect and adorable. The sheets are so so so soft, the beds are so insanely comfortable that I had trouble getting out of them. Very homey and comfortable! You feel safe and at home when you’re there.

The area is scary at night but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Everything about the hotel is great!

Nice room very spacious n loved the tub and my view...

A bit costly... The only problem i had with my stay was the price of it.

the suite in the annex building was amazing! staff/owner was extremely responsive and helpful with everything. parking and location was easy access to point Richmond. had a great time and would definitely stay in that room again!

Very nice and comfortable room in Point Richmond.

It’s super noisy at night because the train track is very close and trains go all the time. In the morning when trains stopped the local maintenance worker started blowing leaves right under our window. It would be appreciated if he can postpone his activity and do it later.

No breakfast available at the hotel. Breakfast across the street --at Little Joe's -- was very good.

There was no heat in the rooms.

Sweet place to stay. Old building decorated with charm. Clean, comfortable and a great location.

It's set up so you never see the staff at all. You can text for help if necessary, but there's no one around to answer questions.

The place was clean and comfortable and attractive, the check-in and everything else went super smoothly. We stayed in the Annex, and parked in the gated lot. Point Richmond is a quiet and charming little enclave in the middle of the swirl and congestion of the Bay Area-- we'll stay there again next time we're back. Nice Thai restaurant down the street, nice coffee shop too... we enjoyed strolling around the neighborhood.

    No complaints.

I loved the fireplace in the room and the separate shower and deep tub. I also loved the fact that it was in a prime restaurant, shopping and small beach location in walking distance.

It wasn't very well attended during my stay. There was never a live person at the reception desk. It was very hot in the room when you had the fireplace on and there was no microwave in the room it was a shared one down the hall...I also wish that the hotel Mac restaurant was open.
