- The staff at the front desk were polite, and nearby Jack London Square is lovely. Skip the hotel breakfast and go to the nearby Oakland Grill?it's wonderful.

- Sheets covered with pet hair, towels had human hair on them, room and hallways had a funky smell, and seemed never to have been vacuumed, sink surface was, a mess of peeling paints, worst: NO HOT WATER! I asked for a credit/refund, but they denied it.
