Newport Channel Inn

The service was fantastic, water pressure was great, room was clean and comfy

price was high

Very casual-vintage-friendly small hotel, easy walking distance to West Newport beaches. Well maintained and appointed with a friendly helpful staff. A very good value for a Newport Beach hotel.

Only negative (for some) is that the location is about a 20 minute walk from Newport's main beaches, piers and array of shops/restaurants. If you don't care about being in the center of activity, the beaches of West Newport (near hotel) are great.

The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was that the front desk staff steered us to a breakfast restaurant that was terribly overpriced. The bedside lights did not work but for the price, a really good place to sleep.

Loved that it had a fridge and microwave in the room and it was clean

Great staff even though they were having computer issues when we checked in. hotel employee was great. Good location, but on the PCH so noisy.

Rooms are dated and a bit musty. They were large and fully equipped with a small frig and microwave so that was a plus.

The location is perfect! Breakfast restaurant right next door, beach right across the street, park right behind the hotel.

The housekeepers came and started cleaning before check out time. I came back to the room to do a once over check to make sure I hadn't left anything and use the restroom and the door was open and the beds were already stripped.

Location, staff and cleanliness. It¿s an older property but it seems they do the best possible for what they have to work with.

Proximity to the beach and restaurants.

Nobody told us that the maids wouldn't be cleaning the room due to COVID precautions! Had to make arrangements to have them clean it.

Awesome place , people who work there are way cool, right across the street from the sand and sea, restaurants on both sides are good and a store right next door. Will be back, if the Lord wills. Sincerely, Skip Rasmussen.

The bed hurt my back. I have a bad back anyway so this probably is not a problem for someone else.
