    Pros +

    • Great rooms, staff, and bar.
    • Quaint boutique hotel right on the Russian River and great bar and restaurant on the hotel grounds
    • Location in the river was great. Room was nice.

    Cons -

    • Wish the hot tub was in service.
    • A lot of things that were advertised were missing. The hot tub wasn¿t working there were no fire pits. The restaurant wasn¿t open for brunch. The walls were very thin we had a downstairs room and could hear every step of the people above us.
    • The front desk was not friendly. Wall heater didn't work, space heater was provided, bathroom was ice cold and another space heater was provided. Anything else plugged in blew the fuse. Continental breakfast was a joke, not even toast of any kind.

The location is wonderful for summer visit right on the river. I am sure a visit in the summer is pleasant, don't need a heater in the room. The staff person who provided the heater was very friendly and helpful.

Walls were paper thin, I was kept up all night by neighboring guests as I could hear conversations/tv/snoring. Sheets were torn, mattress rock hard, pillows were bad, and the photos of the accommodations didmt match the room we stayed in. The room smelled so strongly of bleach I had to open all the windows and leave them open for 3 hours, even though it’s the middle of January

The location and the manor itself was beautiful. Check-in was very easy and the room was nice a comfortable.

The main house where the restaurant and bar is located was completely shut when we arrived (~6pm on a Friday). We were looking forward to the restaurant and finishing the night at the bar.

Great location on the river, nice views.

It might be a good place to stay over summer, but it is a waste of money during winter and fall. We came there for Thanksgiving, the restaurant was closed. The windows in our room were broken, and the lady from the reception could not get them shut. It was very cold so we had to run the heater which is very old and loud without any temperature control, so we ended up not sleeping at night and left the following day. Of course, the staff chose to keep our money for extra night. It was absolute waste of almost $500 for 2 nights. I would not recommend staying there.

Everything about the resort was fabulous. We checked in at 4, promptly left for the concert down the street. Went to bed. Checked out by 11. family emergency so a note was left out to notify is no staff on premises. Which was fine until

We checked out, never enjoyed the sunny deck so we pla es our bags beside us and sat on deck. A very rude young woman came out to balcony basically saying we were trespassing although we were guests, which we explained to her. She never asked us how our stay was, just that we had to leave. Nobody else was there. We were respectful Reul, cleaned anything that was outside. I even picked up others trash so it wouldn’t go in the water. Honestly, we are not used to that sort of treatment as patrons. I do feel badly about their family emergency but being rude to paying guests is something we won’t tolerate. The rude woman said there are signs everywhere. No beverages by deck (which we were mostly on upper level near Declan’s she said many signs all over about rules. None. So if Che I I’m is at 4 and check out 11, when woks a guest be allowed to use the beautiful backyard to relax? I’m appalled shocked and I’d NOT something like that to cover if I owned that property. We were planning to return, renting about 6 rooms in July. Now we are hesitant. Our children would like to go but this leaves a very sour taste with us as I’m sure you can imagine.

There is no breakfast. We hated this place as far as comfort goes. I was told they would give me a room that did not involve stairs because I have bad knees, but I had to climb two full flights of stairs

We hated the full size bed that was very low, we did not sleep at all and I could barely get off the low bed

I would never use this hotel again.

Not a $300 value. Very small, ill-furnished room. Heat didn't work. Nonresponsive staff.

Clean and the bohemian theme is perfect.

The outside could be spruced up a bit each day. Also, the steps down to the fire pit need to be lit up for safety.

The location hidden on the Russian River was perfect. So serene. When you get to the property you feel like youre in the 1800s very old school look snd then when you go to the back you see the sun shining off the river with multiple patios and areas to sit and enjoy the view. They also have kayaks and paddleboards for use. And they are pet friendly. Also food was delicious, steak cook perfectly amd the ladies working were very sweet.

The rooms were small. I am tall. I like my space. Service at dinner was quite slow, might have ben short staffed

    Nothing!

Everything. Staff. Food. Dirty and uncomfortable place. Noisy. Old. Cheap. Horrible staff. Contaminated food.

    6ericPosted on: 8-31-2025

Great location, good extra ammenities such as kayaks

The carpet in our room was seriously soiled in two spots. The bathroom in the mirror was old and showing grey spots. The grounds could be better kept, including rotting stair rails.

    9JohnPosted on: 8-21-2025

Beautiful view of the Russian River and easy access to the River or dock.

Door locks would not always lock or unlock when desired.

    8SilviaPosted on: 7-30-2025

Location, on the river scenic view

No covers for outdoor seating. Limited staffing in the morning.

    9KevinPosted on: 7-21-2025

What a great location on the Russian River. The Manor has so many unique ageless qualities, and the modern upgrades and color schemes only enhance its charm. The staff were attentive and the restaurant team was enjoyable as well.

No fault of the property but the surrounding Monte Rio has so much potential to be soo much more. Hope to see the area continue to be an amazing family destination for years to come.

    9SingerPosted on: 7-21-2025

The location is perfectly gorgeous with a dock and direct river access from the property. The restaurant and bar was excellent and the staff was very nice. A perfect spot for a Russian river getaway.

I didn't love the decor in our room ( not bad just not my taste) and the lighting could have been softer. But the bed was very comfortable and everything was new and working.
