The large bathroom and room itself, smell of old wood furniture as you step into the room, functional air conditioner, comfortable bed, no bugs (even checked the bed corners under the sheets etc, and underneath the bed, no sign of bugs or anything actually), sparkly clean bed, "sanitized" band wrapped toilet, free in-room coffee with decaf option, underground parking with gated entry for extra safety (there are ground-level parking but it's seerely limited and it has no security features), ease of checking in, night light in bathroom, option to keep the bathroom door open
No microwave in the room.....Only at the lobby T_THonestly, otherwise I had no issues at this hotel. You can hear the sounds from the street but that's normal for a old building like this one. It is very close to my college and convenient to walk or drive there. Yes, some reviews mentioned homeless people etc, but that's LA for you. Big cities always have a homeless population no matter what.

Very Clean serviced rooms. Excellent Wifi and Hot water. Comfortable Bed. Friendly and accomodating staff. Felt very secure within the Hotel. Public transport nearby is excellent. The Metro D Line is on the corner of Wilshire/Western travels directly to downtown and UNION station in one direction or change at Wilshire/Vermont to Metro B Line up to Nth Hollywood to get to Hollywood Blvd attractions etc.Busses eg #7 Big Blue Bus right outside of the hotel cnr St Andrews place/ Wilshire can get you all the way to SANTA Monica Pier.Other Busses along there can get you to La Brae tar pits, The Farmers Market s and The Grove etc, Beverly hills .There is a Dennys a block away on which was a good clean safe place to eat close by open 24 hrs. 3750 WILSHIRE BLVDhttps://locations.dennys.com/CA/LOS-ANGELES/246865?utm_source=G&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=DACAlso the Pizza Restaurant/bar attached to the Hotel has very good reviews. There is Ralphs Grocery store for supplies if you turn right at wilshire onto western .
The surrounding streets near the Hotel in Korea town were abundant with the homelesss and druggies etc. It was off putting walking through and past all the makeshift tents and people just lying in the streets and hanging around the Met Station. A little stinky at times. It is a very sad predicament. I have seen things in my time there that i cannot unsee. I donated clothing to some people nearby but I was not hassled by anyone and would definately stay at this Hotel again.

Location of hotel was good. close to metro and bus stations.
After the first night, I woke up the next morning and someone knocked on the door. Upon checking, someone pointed towards a water leak coming out of the door. I discovered that the ceiling was leaking water, and it was coming directly through the roof-mounted light fixture. This is both dangerous and highly concerning, and certainly not something I expected to encounter. I have also recorded video evidence of the incident. On asking they changed the room, which wasn't enough in my opinion.
