Great location.

Room had a musty damp smell. The oder was like there was mold somewhere in the room

The Internet only works in the bathroom. We went two nights without internet and TV in the bedroom. We tried contacting the staff, but they said the issue is with the internet provider. After that, we received no more replies, even when we explained that it was the modem's position.

Spacious grounds, fire pit, easy access, close to Mendicino.

Cozy Cove Room: Bed springs shot, expected room to be more up to date, grounds unkept, screen door extremely difficult to open with duck tape around handle?, skirt of bed very dirty with splatters, shower very small, no trash can to throw away dog waste, Last day landscapers there all day cleaning grounds. Not worth the cost.

Liked the location and atmosphere

Had to switch rooms in the middle of the stay. 2nd room wasn't as nice. Owners did accommodate to the best of their abilities under the circumstances.

Nice room with comfortable bed. Location was convenient for the beach wedding we attended.

The walls are thin and we could hear the other guests dog barking and them moving around their room at 4 AM.

Very clean.

The lack of wifi. We couldn’t watch tv, listen to music or make calls. The inability to call out in an emergency was concerning.

We arrived late. We had a number handy. We tried to reach that number. But no one responded. Even no one contacted us the next day.

Beautiful property, serene despite being just back from hwy, thoughtfully chosen amenities, beautiful room and deck ( we stayed in the sunset room). We wont hesitate to stay here again.

We enjoyed a lovely stay over the July 4th holiday weekend. Booked 2 rooms, one for me and my husband and the other for my mom. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The bed was SO comfortable - I slept very well every night. We've been to this area several times and even stayed at Sea Foam located right behind this property. Prefer this inn for the value and ease of self-checkin. Short drive to Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Highly recommended!

It was perfect.

The flowers onsite are truly outstanding. We loved the fire pit and tranquility. Being able to walk a short distance and trek down to the cove was unbelievable!

The mattress could stand to be replaced.

We had a wonderful stay at Inn at Buckhorn Cove! It’s a small, boutique property. We enjoyed the outside fire pit. Beds were really comfortable. The property is really close to Mendocino.

Room size in general is good. It is pretty clean too.

No on-site staff. No window. No view. No lotion.

Dog-friendly. The room looked nice and seemed cozy. Great location, right off the freeway, close to town and other spots. Lots of potential, but unfortunately there were too many issues that took away from it. I'd be reluctant to stay again or recommend.

We requested early check-in via Booking.com, which forwarded our message to the property manager. We never heard back.When we checked in (at the original/later time), there was a strong stuffy/musty smell throughout. This dissipated by the evening with some airing out, but we later learned from the property manager (when we reported a different issue; see below) that the room hadn't been occupied for two weeks. This explained the smell, but didn't explain why we couldn't have checked in earlier (nor why no one responded).Although the room looked nice, it was a bit small/cramped for the price.We found dead/dying ants all over the shower floor. We reported this to the property manager, who responded promptly with an apology, but didn't offer / send over housekeeping (which, according to the message sent to us before our stay, was available for extra towels or other needs), so we were left to clean this up ourselves.The smoke detector in the room was missing. We reported this to the property manager as well. Again, an apology, but nothing done to fix it. This didn't leave us feeling very safe, and didn't seem up to code.In the bathroom there was a dark wash cloth with the word "makeup" on it. Also on it was caked-on makeup that hadn't come out in the wash. I certainly wasn't going to touch that to my face. (Also reported this to the property manager, and again -- nothing was done about it.)The coffee & creamer in the room were pretty terrible. Hotel room coffee is rarely great, but this was a new low. There were also no utensils to prep coffee with.Though doggie bags were provided outside, the disposal bin was overflowing.A week after our stay, I found the property had charged my credit card a second time for the full rental amount. They did refund this once I reported it to them, but still unnerving.

Wonderful location just south of Mendocino. Beautiful view, with a dramatic secluded cove across the street. Very comfortable beds, perfect kitchenette, spacious bath and tub.

Comfortable club chairs would have added a lot to our enjoyment of the fireplace, though the couch was adequate.

We loved the whole setup and environment, i.e. small number of units, exceedingly quiet (we were lucky that no one was on either side), nice wood patio overlooking a green lawn and view of trees with the ocean peeking through them. Nice seating and fire pit in the garden.

Exceedingly hot when we arrived, the sun drives straight into the sliding glass door however it cooled quickly with the evening air. Coffee in jar was old, suggest vacuum sealed coffee pouches. The room was a bit cramped, the bathroom sink counter space was very small, barely space to put things. Overall these things dimmed in view of the privacy and quiet setting.

Good location. Dog-friendly. One of our rooms (we had two, daughter travelled with us) was better than the other: it had a nice porch for watching the sunset. Nice that poop bags and outside bins were provided for dogs! Rooms had good coffee and tea options, fridge, micro. Nice outdoor seating.

There is no office or front desk. Everything is done remotely, like an Air BnB. So if you prefer a staffed reception in your hotel, try somewhere else. Extra supplies (towels, etc.) were available onsite. Electronic door lock gave an error message but hotel was able to confirm all was OK remotely.

Location and value for money were great. Having an ocean was a nice surprise!

The room got pretty warm surprisingly during the day… there was not a lot of cross ventilation in the room and no ac.

Bed frame was on wheels that don't lock so it kept shifting around
