    • The Staff ... very attentive
    • I wasn't expecting how awesome the breakfast was going to be. There was an actual person who cooked either buttermilk pancakes or eggs. Besides that , there were 3 versions of eggs! The coffee machine that served espresso and other types of coffee drinks was beyond the beyond. I was also not expecting to have a kitchen, so that was a great surprise for me.

    Cons -

    • My dislikes were pretty minor and structural in nature like the bed facing the door. One thing I didn't like was that the door to the toilet/bath automatically closed on its own. I felt claustrophobic. The pillows were also too soft for me.

    • Booked a room with a king bed and a sofa bed, but the room first assigned has no sofa bed but a couch. Ended up we will have to upgrade a room with extra fee. The reception claimed that was not we booked, and there might be an error in the descriptions from booking.com, yet it is clearly stated in booking .com that the room has a sofa bed.

spacious rooms, comfy bed, good value for money, decent breakfast

The parking was a bit expensive

    9RichardPosted on: 9-15-2025

The clean contemporary feel. Nice welcome from the staff. Nice varied breakfast. Good price inc breakfast. Proximity to Laguna beach. Staff were very nice.

The price to park. We parked on the road for free. AC was a little noisy in the room.

This hotel is great for when we are in town to visit family. Very clean and comfortable and the included breakfast is quite good.

    I don't love the pillows.

The room was not completely cleaned. There were spilled coffee near the night stand, one the wall and floor.

The experience was overall amazing. The room is big and comfortable, and the bed and facilities are also great. As it is common in California, a car or Uber was needed to move around. The staff was friendly and nice, breakfast was really good and we could enjoy spending time at the lobby and lounge as well. Wifi worked really well and we were very satisfied with the stay.

It was not very clear to us when the cleaning service was scheduled to happen, which confused us a little.

Great location, great amenities, great staff, great breakfast. All around it was a pleasant stay and would definitely come back and would recommend this spot to anyone

The rooms can use a bit more cleaning. When I got to my room, there was some sand in the corner by the door (basically sweeping/mopping/vacuuming).

The room was comfortable, very well appointed and supplied, and was spotlessly clean. The kitchen area had everything one would need. The room had a good air and temperature system and everything in the room worked well (nothing damaged or broken). The cleaning staff did a great job. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom spacious and spotless with nice products supplied and plenty of towels. The hotel facility was very nice in general and had nicely designed common spaces. The breakfast area is laid out so there isn't overcrowding or long waits to get to anything. The cook to order kitchen staff were friendly and offered two cook to order entrees each morning. There were many types of juices, regular and decaf coffees, and a good variety of breakfast foods and fruits. Also a nice self serve espresso machine as is common in European hotels. The breakfast staff were all very helpful and genuinely nice to guests and very service oriented. The pool area on the 3rd floor is really nice and had lounges and a comfy large sofa area. The pool is only 3 feet deep, so not for lap swimming, but pleasant for guests, with restrooms and showers, and all very attractive and clean.

The staff first visible when guests walk into the hotel are the reception area person and the bartender. The reception person that was there most evenings of my 8 day stay was not personable, never smiled, never greeted or acknowledged me or spoke to me unless I approached to take care of a purchase or ask a question. They had no facial affect whatsoever. The other desk staff during the day were constantly on their smart phone, or there was no one present in the lobby whatsoever. It was just deserted. The bartender was also constantly on their smart phone when I came and went, except one evening when a couple folks were seated at the bar and I ordered a drink, the bartender interacted with us all, made a great drink for me, and was super pleasant. Another night the bartender wasn't there when I went over to order a drink and the reception person said the bartender hadn't called in or showed up for work and there was no one else. I paid for parking for each night of my stay, but all the onsite parking spaces were taken one of the nights and I had to park elsewhere. When I checked out I asked the reception person if I could have one night of parking taken off my bill. The person said they could not help me as they had no authority to change anything in my "folio" and that manager would not be available for two days. Clearly the standards for reception and overall perception needs a turnaround. The manager would do well to retrain staff and have the staff visit a couple hotels in the area to see basic hospitality practices. When I looked at reviews from several years past, these lobby staff issues were listed again and again, yet I still experienced them. It's unnerving to walk into a large hotel and have absolutely no staff present in the lobby during the day on two occasions. Perhaps they were helping someone on one of the upper floors, and in that case things are understaffed. Anyone can go up the elevators.

Great breakfast, options for healthy food, and daily on-the-spot preparations from the home chef.

The hotel charges 25$ for parking in an area where parking is available on the street for free.

Location, quiet, easy access to shops and freeway. The staff was professional and facility was really clean. I would recommend for anyone visiting for business or leisure

    Clean, new, quiet location

Parking fee kind of high for location, could use a luggage rack, bathroom could use a door stopper because when shower, got very steamy and had to use chair to keep it open
