Located on 4 wooded acres, Towers Casino & Card Room is 1 mile away. A LED flat panel tv with DirecTV & Showtime is provided in each air-conditioned room at Golden Chain Motel. For convenience, each guest room includes a microwave and a refrigerator. A work desk and a telephone are included in each room. An iron is available upon request. Fire House Museum is 5 minutes’ drive away from this motel. Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park is 32 miles away. Nevada County Fairgrounds are 3 minutes' drive from the property. Air condition broken. Enough coffee for first morning only. Blanket and bedspread not clean. Only received 2 towels
items were reported to manager without an apology or writing them down,hair and stains on pillowcase, towels etec rags, cold shower, heat lamp inBR not available.Food allegedly in room not presentshower and toilet running.Was not fixed.veryvery dissapoint
Improvement in housekeeping needed. Improvement in in-room repairs needed. Non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke on 2nd move from top floor room for 80 year old. Needed 3rd room move to find a non-smoke room. Many minus compromises for price break

Nice location and convenient to get to.

Non-smoking room smelled of musty smoke, duct tape covering light switch, missing grout in bath tub. Had to cancel and find another hotel at twice the cost at 10:00 at night.
