    • Location to the freeway
    • Location
    • Spacious room. Heater takes forever to warm up.

    Cons -

    • The only staff member on duty left leaving a note on the door while 4 customers including myself waited at the door to check in at night. Room filthy not dusted, vacuumed, dirty fridge, smelled like trash-asked for another room and was denied none avail.
    • The entire lower level, rooms on the 1st floor and pool area are used for homeless camp I think. The whole area smells of urine . Could smell it when we exited our car at the canopy for check in.
    • Hotels going through renovations.

The rooms were a great size and very clean. Staff was helpful. Hands down the best hotel I stayed at on my trip.

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 5-13-2022

Clean. Staff helpful and accommodating. Location.

Breakfast ends at 9. 10 would be better.

    AC was working.

At check in our room was not cleaned and serviced, bed sheets pillows were on floor. Staff gave option to take disabled friendly room or king bed room. Room smelled like someone smoked marijuana in it, heavy smell. IStaff was very rude and didn¿t help..

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 8-25-2020

The room was very spacious and the staff was very friendly! The AC also worked quite well.

The smell of marijuana was very potent in the room. We had a non-smoking room, but I’m sure someone broke that rule.

This hotel was the nicest one in town. Having breakfast daily was an added bonus. Also nice that pets are allowed for an additional fee. Room was clean and staff was helpful and friendly.

    No bedbugs and good breakfast!

    Aging bed linens.

I love the staff. I love the pool. I really like being close to town for good eats and stores. I like how close it is to the Garberville farmers markets on Fridays 11-3!

Nice breakfast and setting on patio overlooking the pool. Very relaxing atmosphere.

    8BryanPosted on: 6-10-2018

The setting was peaceful, and the unique layout of the buildings gave a feeling of being in cottages instead of a motel/hotel. Also, the breakfast room was the best one I've been in at a Best Western or similar hotel - spacious and well staffed.

The room smelled a little musty, most likely due to the proximity to the ocean and the general dampness that this entails. Also, there was no way to bring any air into the room -- no fan, no aircon, nothing. It got a little hot at night. No fan? Why?

    10TabathaPosted on: 7-5-2017

Room was clean, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good for a free breakfast: eggs, sausage, yogurt, waffles, danishes, coffee, juice, fruit, cereal.

Pool was dirty, but it was also super hot out and people were using it like crazy - so not surprising how dirty it was. Hot tub was clean :)

There was blood on the back of the bathroom door, the bathroom itself wasn't very clean, streaks on the walls. I felt very uncomfortable.

    9VivianPosted on: 10-1-2016

This was probably the nicest updated room of my stays in Best Westerns.

My only complaint is the town not the hotel. Very limited choices for dining in the area.

    7BonniePosted on: 7-1-2016

Staff was very helpful, breakfast was good, location was good.

    9TeresaPosted on: 5-19-2016

very clean and up to date. Enjoyed the wine and cheese and breakfast

not much dining selections in the town

    8LuisPosted on: 9-18-2015

Our suite was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The surrounding area is a little scary at night... lots of transients about. Best to stay close to the hotel after dark. We booked a separate for my brother and coming back from dinner his room has filled with smoke from the neighbor next door.
