- Superfriendly staff. Great old location with charme.
Cons -
- The hotel left me stranded in Eureka at about 11:30PM. I followed the check-in instructions. The person who was supposed to be working did not want her or his sleep disturbed. Nice to know. After 2 hours of waiting and pleading I went to Red Lion!
- Not in the best part of town.
- The Bar should be open every night.

Not in the best part of town.
Superfriendly staff. Great old location with charme.
The Bar should be open every night.
On site restaurant and lounge, although it is not open every night. Customer service is great, before, during and after checkin and all the way through checkout.
Seemed to be homeless people gathering nearby. Especially at night.
Did not get the room I booked got a lower level of room
Hotel is beautifully kept. Great historical landmark. Ladies you are doing a great job.
A WONDERFUL OLD BUILDING, VERY UNIQUE. A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE TO STAY THERE IN SUCH AN OLD BUILDING. GREAT LOCATION IN OLD TOWN.
BECAUSE THE BUILDING IS SO OLD ONE CANNOT EXCEPT THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS A NEW BUILDING. HOWEVER, THE BAR CLOSE BY WAS VERY NOISY AND THE PEOPLE LIVING ROUGH IN THE STREET BELOW ALSO CAUSED MUCH NOISE AND THE MOTERCYCLE NOISE WAS VERY UNPLEASANT.
The history of the Inn. Location to the water. All the antiques.
Difficult to find interior rooms. Parties can be held in the center and side rooms, which can be heard throughout hotel. We were invited to join, so if you like to party, you would enjoy!
The hotel was well located for walking along the water and had very easy parking. The staff we encountered were charming and helpful.
The windows in our room opened over the interior public space and as such had to be curtained and closed for privacy. This made the room feel stuffy and too warm.
Great unique Victorian building with cool furnishings and interesting history. Beds super comfortable, Phatsy Klines adjacent bar great happy hour in historic setting.
Some street noise but quieted and had white noise machine in room.
We liked how we were received initially. The receptionist was so friendly. Our room was amazing. It was so big and the bed was very comfortable. The ceilings throughout the hotel are a work of art. There was much to look at and admire just on our way to our room. The added bonus was that the Friday night fair was going on so we were able to walk straight from our hotel to see what people were selling at the booths within a few minutes.
The beds and linens were great and the decor was antique and very beautiful. The room was spacious. The area is ideal for walking and the attached bar is cozy and nice. I love the concert venue and would return for that alone. It has an old world vibe that is definitely very inviting.
Black out curtains would have kept a very bright light from shining into the room at night...the shower door was broken and required a special lifting to close. I have a bad hand and arm and without my daughter could not have closed it. The street outside was incredibly loud because of the bar...we did request a quiet room and it was anything but quiet. Also the elevator was very loud every time it was in use it woke me up! Breakfast was adequate but could be improved with a few additions like hard boiled eggs and/or nicer pastry. The morning staff did not smile nor greet me any time I approached and it seemed as thought I was just a nuisance to them. The price is at the top for hotels and with all the issues we had, I probably would only book if blackout curtains and quiet room and shower door were better.
Nice looking inn outside and location is excellent. If you like charm older house this is a great idea and staff friendly
Musty smell in room, the cramped elevator just smelled bad. The staff are not on duty at night if you need a towel or likewise. Breakfast ok but no where to sit - unless you go to dark ballroom.
Great to see the hotel come back to life following the pandemic
Phatsy Cline’s Lounge. My husband almost fell due to not being aware of a step down when you enter the area. They did have a sign, but it wasn’t very obvious. Then the service was very slow and one of the featured items was not available.
Breakfast was pretty good. Location was ok. I like the character of hotel.
The rooms need to be updated and we had dripping shower. Noisy...11 pm one night. Expensive for what you get.
Very lovely space and incredible attention to detail in terms of maintaining the victorian vibe. Breakfast was of the continental variety, simple but well-rounded. The bar downstairs, Phatsy Kline's, is an amazing spot to spend a few hours--excellent cocktails too! It's a short walk to the shops and eateries in old town, and a short drive to many of the celebrated sights of the county. In terms of lodging options in and around Eureka, this is an excellent choice for its storied history, welcoming ambiance, and quaint decor.
The rooms facing 2nd street overlook a rough part of the downtown area. Each night of our stay, there was some kind of ruckus in the wee hours: an individual screaming while dumping out trash bins, a group of people shouting louder and louder as they went their separate ways, and, on the final morning, a woman screaming incredibly racist, profane threats. We could hear these instances through the closed windows and were not too bothered, able to go back to sleep once it calmed down; however, light sleepers would likely be uncomfortable.
The staff was informative related to the history behind the Inn. We were given a tour by HR. I can imagine the social gatherings that occurred here. The interior is unique and beautiful.
Unique boutique Victorian hotel, rooms with personality and conveniently located within walking distance to historic downtown. Friendly staff, comfortable bed and a good breakfast.
Nice old inn.
Male stripper show booked by the inn the night we stayed there. They forgot to tell us. Loud. Poor taste.
The staff was very accommodating. Location is good for walking to downtown
The room was musty smelling. Maybe this should be expected for an old hotel?
