    Pros +

    • the cats! the swooping birds! the brilliant flowers! the lovely pool! the big jacuzzi with strong jets! the (bit of a) view of San J! location near Indian food!
    • Property was nice staff was very friendly and helpful.
    • The staff members were kind and accommodating. The pool was revitalizing. We loved the breakfast! This hotel has good access to Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and Joshua Tree National Park by car.

    Cons -

    • no desk lamp. hair dryer didn't work. baseboards not clean.
    • The Tv in the room was in a weird position very far from the bed and The parking spaces where very small every night when returning to the property it was no room to park
    • There's some construction going on, so there was some kind of "drilling" noise nearby.

Excellent hotel for a visit to Desert Hot Springs. Pools were clean with fabulous water quality. Rooms were spacious, bed comfortable and excellent shower. Staff were wonderful and breakfast was much better than I expected. Will definitely return!

Both Tracy and Alex were friendly and welcoming staff members. We were there before the holiday, so could check-in earlier and also enjoyed a late check-out. We enjoyed a morning swim and soak all by ourselves! The breakfast choices were more than your usual continental - the cheese omelettes were delicious!

There's some construction going on, so there was some kind of "drilling" noise nearby.

I liked that it was quiet and calm. The other guests were all adult couples.

While it was nice that breakfast was included, it was pretty spartan so we still had to leave to get food. The hotel website mentioned eggs and cottage cheese, but neither was available on the days we stayed.

    The mineral hot pool

In our first room (207), the hot water did not function, the TV remote was missing (so the TV did not work) and the coffee maker was broken. Waking up to a cold shower with no coffee or news on the TV was not fun. We shared these problems with Alex at the Front Desk who offered us an alternative room (105). After moving to the new room, we discovered that there was noticeable pet hair and dust on the floor (see photos) and that the TV sound did not work. The room was later cleaned but the TV was not fixed. During our second evening, we were kept awake by a mosquito in the room. No compensation or even sympathy was offered for this disappointing experience.

Property was ok, clean, and updated.

Location was in a neighborhood. Nothing else around.

Location, amenities, breakfast, size of rooms.

The double room suite was nicely laid out, but was not cleaned (shower basin dirty with hair, the sofa bed sheets had body flakes in it- sheets weren't fresh) prior to our stay and the whole unit never got cool because there was only air conditioning unit in the back bedroom area, thus leaving the area near the door very hot (it was in the 100s that weekend).

We went during the off season so it was a huge treat to have the pool & jacuzzi to ourselves for our entire stay!

Nice room. The pools!!!Coffee machine in the room.

Breakfast at 7:30 was a bit too late for us. It was very warm and we wanted to go hiking early.

    Everything was great!

The rooms are light and spacious. The mattress was extra comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The pool and hot tub were perfect for relaxing and had the benefit of staying open until 11pm, so you could swim under the stars. .

The pillows were a bit too full for my comfort. Breakfast didn't start until 8:30 am , so I missed out, though it looked delicious with fresh fruits, Greek yogurt ,bagels, and omelets.

Nice size rooms & bathroom. Very clean. Nice breakfast.

Website said adults only hotel but when we arrived there was a child. Manager said company changed policy. We suggested they update their website since we and others at hotel were looking for an adult only hotel & facility.

    The room was clean.

This was my third time to stay at Onsen. And i recommend to my friends as well. However, we were disappointed. The check in time is 3pm, when my friends arrived at 5pm, the room wasnt ready. Then i arrived, when i checked in, the staff not sure if my room was ready as well. He went to check and mentioned that my room just ready. For my friends their room wasnt ready and told us still 15 more minutes. So all of us decided to grab dinner first. Then we went back at 6pm and they were able to get to their room.I felt sorry for my friends that i recommended to them but they experienced inconvinient.Nothing offered from the hotel as complimentary for the inconvinient. If we late check out we will get charged but if the room hasnt ready 2 hours after check in time, nothing from hotel to compliment the guests! It was disappointed especially when you recommend to your friends.

It had the pool right there and everything was easily accessible. The views were very nice along with the staff and rooms.
