    Pros +

    • The location was excellent; I could walk to the beach, the shops, and the restaurants. The decor of the hotel had so much character and wasn¿t generic like chain hotels. Free WiFi, a mini fridge, and tasty onsite restaurants were much appreciated.
    • The positive of the hotel was its location. It is a very short walk through the Del Coronado to the beach, and a great locale to nearby restaurants and shopping.
    • Staff & location! Room was clean and the hotel history is cool.

    Cons -

    • The hot tub wasn¿t actually hot, and the steps up to the second floor rooms are small and steep.
    • The staff was not very accommodating. In order to get to our room, we had to go outside and then climb up a very steep tiled stairwell to the door of the room. No bell assistance was available or offered. Also, restaurant below was incredibly noisy.
    • Tiny room- 2 people could not pass at the end of the bed at the same time, thin walls, noisy alley, extremely loud air conditioning - sounded like the tones going off at my firefighter husband¿s station every time it cycled on.

Really great location, and the room was really nice. We got a 1 bedroom for two people and we had plenty of space.

We had a minor issue with the shower in our room, but it was fixed right away.

From the moment we walked into the lobby we were taken care of by Benny. What a great guy. Extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help. The beach chairs and towels were a big bonus for us. Nice that the hotel has them there for the guests u

location is excellent, staff is off the rails friendly and accommodating.

could use a bit of paint and carpeting replacement in some rooms.

    10JasonPosted on: 6-15-2021

The location and staff of this hotel were perfect.

The bathroom could use some updating.

The location was perfect! Right across from the beach access at Hotel Del Coronado, next to our favorite Mexican restaurant Miguel's, and just a short walk away from the shops. We stayed with our two toddlers and it was easy for us to go everywhere.

Staff was beyond amazing. Nice pool and beautiful sitting are close to pool for relaxing with a book. The hotel offered free beach umbrellas and boogie boards for beach use. Will definitely return.

This hotel is a very good location if you are looking to be close to Coronado Beach. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs during my stay.

The room was very dated, smelled a bit old when entering. The sheets had not been changed; they felt like there was sand in them. Also found a very large cockroach in my bathroom.

    10ToddPosted on: 8-8-2018

Upgraded to the larger room and loved it. Short walk to beach and Coronado shops and restaurants. Its an expensive area but I felt price was fair for the quality of room and beautiful area. Staff was accomadating as well.

There are a lot of negative comments about parking. I was there Monday thru Thursday and it was not a problem for me. There was plenty of metered parking outside the hotel (.25$ an hour 2 hour max). I parked 3 blocks away free. Weekend could be worse

    10BreeannPosted on: 2-18-2016

Everyone was very inviting and pleasant! Our room what right in the courtyard and our accommodations were exceptional! What I loved the most was the atmosphere! And good food at Miguel's! Delicious!

The parking situation was terrible! That would be my only concern. You either have to pay parking meters or park 3-10 blocks away unless you get dropped off by a cab!

    Great location and friendly staff!

a few of the outlets in the room didn't work

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 3-25-2015

The location of the hotel to restaurants, shops, and the beach were fantastic. The pool was nice, the hotel offered continental breakfast and/or a discount to another restaurant right by the hotel, for hot delicious breakfasts.Miguel's had great food too

Our room was close to the restaurant, so it was noisy during business hours. Next time we'll request a room away from the eating area. Parking isn't convenient because you have to use meters, or park down the street in residential areas. Not far to walk

    10DianePosted on: 3-20-2015

The people! Amazingly friendly and helpful. Restaurants have tasty menus and so so easy to get to...yeah

Some room updates would be nice but not necessary as it was very clean.

    10CindyPosted on: 10-25-2022

The staff was exceptional and anything you asked for they had it. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great long weekend at your hotel.
