Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. From 6:00am-9:30am they have a fresh pancake maker, bacon, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, bagels, muffins, cinnamon rolls, cereal, yogurt, and hardboiled eggs. Breakfast beverages as well with milk singles, a variety of juices, and fresh coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Along with a large dining area on all three floors which overlooked the bay water reflecting the sunrise. Gorgeous view on a calm morning. The backside of their parking lot is right up against the bay where there is direct access to a paved walking trail along the water. The hotel is located south of the airport which is along the landing path for airplanes. We could not hear any planes inside our room during the day or evening. Their fitness center was clean and organized. In the same area is a washer and dryer for laundry needs. In January, their pool was open and well maintained for guests to use year round. In addition to the nightly charges, there is a $75 per night deposit charged at check in. If you are parking a vehicle on the property, the overnight fees will be deducted from the deposit, and refunded the difference. The overnight parking fees are much lower than most nearby hotels at $30. We will be back for another convention in a few months at the big hotel across the street. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express again for that event.

Not much to pick apart here. I could only find 1 ice machine and water dispenser at the other end of the property. Not that there wasn't an additional one. That is just the closest one I was directed to from the ground floor. I would also note that upon reserving months prior, their clerk was misinformed about their charging of deposits which resulted in some conflicts at time of check in but the staff onsite at the time did everything they could to accommodate the discrepancy in order to check in. Thank you Cathy!

The breakfast selection was excellent - I loved the yogurt, English muffins, turkey sausage, eggs and fruit. The availability of fresh cold water and coffee throughout the day was a bonus. Very nice laundry facility and fitness room. The location is fantastic - the SF bay is right behind the hotel and you can watch planes taking off and landing, as well as watching pelicans and ducks splash and swim. You can safely walk across the bridge on Broadway and visit the shops and restaurants in Burlingame - another great feature of this hotel.
