Royal Sun Hotel & Suites

Pool and jacuzzi. Location but not in a good part of town.

I was told I got an upgrade. I was so excited until I saw the disgusting bathtub jacuzzi. Was told bedroom tv didn’t work but the sitting room did. It did not. Was told they now had made to order breakfast in restaurant. They did not. Was told I got a printed invoice. I did not.

Very easy and fast check in. Staff Very helpful and courteous.

breakfast was good enough. staff friendly. plenty of parking. room was spacious and bed comfortable.

Mainly the location had a lot of homeless around it. One lady was going through the trash bin right outside our room.Shower was out dated. Towels old.

Very comfortable room and bed

Breakfast was OK, but basic. The staff at front desk very good, very informative about the area, transport etc. The location was really good for what I had to do in my time there. I had a small maintenance issue with the room and that was taken care of immediately. Shower and bed all good.

The floor of the room I was using was sticky, near the bed. I was like it had had soda or similar spilt on it, and not cleaned up correctly.

The room was big and clean, staff was nice. The breakfast was quite good - considering USA standards. Overall a very pleasant hotel experience.

I found the neighborhood surroundings a bit sketchy, but that's not the hotel's fault, it's just the way the city is. Still, it is walking distance from some good restaurants.

We were in town for a bowl game at U of A and it was about a 30 minute walk. There aren't many hotels closer so we were happy to find one in walking distance. There is a restaurant/bar right next to the hotel that is convenient but super weird. Not a lot else that is really close outside of a gas station, Starbucks and KFC. The hotel was average. Rooms were large and clean. Pool area had a nice hot tub. They transformed what I assumed was one of their larger rooms to the breakfast area. The biscuits and gravy were delicious!

It is located right across from a park that has a lot of homeless people. I wouldn't feel safe walking around here alone at night. Although no one bothered us. The ice machine was also broken.

The hotel is old and outdated and the breakfast was horrible. It was false advertising. They sent an email saying that you can order breakfast and when I got there they said they do not do that anymore but forgot to stop sending those emails.
