Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson East, AZ - All Inclusive Reviews Rating
Very Good
Review summary
The hotel features spacious and comfortable rooms, with many guests appreciating the cleanliness and comfort of the beds, making it suitable for families. The location is a standout point, offering safety and convenience near restaurants and shopping, complemented by good amenities like a fitness center and pool. However, some reviews noted inconsistencies in room cleaning, and while the staff received praise for their helpfulness, the hotel is perceived as somewhat pricey compared to competitors.

Check-in no problem. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They responded to our requests promptly and courteously.
Our room was considered accessible for mobility issues. HOWEVER - the shower did not have a chair or shower bench. The refrigerator was not cooling and was leaking water. Both issues were resolved promptly. Another issue is one staff cannot resolve. That is: The ramps and elevators. The distance between the elevators and the ramps is incredibly long for a mobility impaired person using a walker and not a scooter. Additional handicap parking spots would be appreciated. The "happy hour" was disappointing.

Pool was clean. Family atmosphere. Room was clean.
Restaurant is promoted throughout the facility and on hand outs and online, but the dinner and happy hour reception is a joke. There was one person working the bar/restaurant, long lines. Food was okay. Service was horrible. No customer service at all. Person working seemed to need some help and when asked by multiple guests why she was alone she gave each person a different answer. Room service also was not available when we tried to order. If not for the convenience of staying in, I would not have even gone down to breakfast , but glad we did. breakfast was a breath of fresh air. Food was good, line moved pretty quickly and staff was friendly. Check out staff at the front desk was friendly.

We really liked the overall good amenities of the hotel and the room. Our room was very well-equipped, with comfortable beds, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a balcony with a bistro table, and it seeemed it had a recent renovation. The hotel amenities were also good, including a fitness center, a pool, a hot tub, free parking, etc.Unfortunately, our room wasn't cleaned on the first day. Despite requesting it, it took until the evening of the second day for it to be cleaned. We appreciated being able to book a room with a mountain view. However, since our room was on the second floor, the mountain view was unfortunately only visible through the trees. If you absolutely want a mountain view, be sure to request a room on the fourth floor when booking. If your room is on the second floor, you shouldn't pay extra for a mountain view. The breakfast was really very good, with an above-average variety of choices and a cooking station for fresh omelets, scrambled eggs, etc.
Welcoming culture:Unfortunately, the entire staff was not particularly friendly and seemed rather unmotivated. Upon check-in, we encountered a rather unfriendly lady. The staff at the breakfast buffet also seemed unmotivated, and a "good morning" was only reluctantly returned, if at all.Cleanliness:The entire facility was quite dirty and gave a somewhat neglected impression. Our room had dirt in the corners when we checked in, and a used towel was still crumpled in a corner of the bathroom. There was also a used coffee capsule in the coffee machine. The breakfast restaurant had an outdoor terrace. The metal tables were not only carelessly set up, but also extremely dirty, full of crumbs and sticky stains from previous guests. We cleaned the tables ourselves before using them, and the cleaning cloths were black! The staff were obviously not responsible for quickly wiping the tables after each use.All areas of the hotel, whether in the walkways, elevators, courtyard, garden, or by the pool, were dirty and gave a somewhat neglected impression. There was dust everywhere, old paper in the corners, old leaves, and stains on the floor, probably from spilled drinks or food scraps.Service:Apparently, the hotel management doesn't place much emphasis on well-maintained facilities, cleanliness, or friendly staff. We had two memorable experiences at breakfast:Once, an employee at the pool next to the breakfast terrace started using a loud leaf blower, even though many guests were sitting at the tables having breakfast. At least he was trying to blow the dust away from the people, but the terrible noise, while guests were trying to start a relaxing day, created an absurdly comical situation. The day before, two other employees were changing the trash bags on the terrace, right in the middle of the breakfast guests! The bottom of the trash can had rusted apart, and smelly liquids were dripping from the ripped-open trash bag!

Slow drain in one of the sinks and all the doors in the room.

Our suite was comfortable with good amenities including a two-part bathroom with an additional sink which was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and made sure to accommodate our request for an easily accessible room. The breakfast buffet was remarkable, so plentiful and delicious! Pool and gardens were pleasant. Location in a safe, residential area but also close to restaurants and shopping is a big plus.
The sofa bed was very uncomfortable but the regular beds are excellent. The grounds could be better maintained. Some outdoor areas needed sweeping.

Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. I loved the free drinks and snacks during happy hour. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, had lots of choices, and had a chef making omelets to order (they were really good).
The hot tub wasn’t working properly (jets not working)…..but it was still hot.
