Canoa Ranch Golf Resort

I love the king suite with the kitchen and living room! It?s a very homey feel.

One lady in the breakfast area lives is to not allow anyone to leave the breakfast area with food. It?s over the top that you can?t go sit outside to enjoy the lovely area. It?s tough when you are on vacation to feel like a prisoner.

Security! I didn?t like that our building doors were always unlocked. Anyone could enter the building, hallways and elevator. Felt extremely unsafe the whole time we were there. There was a large white Poodle barking at 6 am with the owner. Shower leaks.

The Pool and spa

Cockroach in the room. Breakfast was included but you could not take your breakfast with you. This was from the people who the hotel contracts out to provide breakfast. So the contractors tell hotel guests what they can do and hotel allows it.

Rooms are nice and clean, pool area beautiful.

Room was not clean. Bathroom was small with nowhere to set toiletries. No full length mirror in room.

The beds were really comfortable. The pool was beautiful. Felt like an oasis in the desert. Front desk staff was really nice and helpful.

Breakfast room was like an emergency relief area with folding tables & chairs. Didn¿t fit rest of hotel.Bfast buffet fare was limited & was told that we could only order twice/pp.It¿s plenty but is odd at a buffet. Omelets were good though.

Nice size rooms

Had to slam door to get it closed.Then to get out you had to hit it with your shoulder. Shower door didn't work correct.

Grossly overstuffed pillows painful to sleep on.

One bed very near a side wall. At the foot, patio doors. Curtains with large (5¿ C-shaped) hooks mounted on the wall, hold curtains when opened; hidden when closed. Hook impales you - dangerous. Grossly overstuffed pillows. No sugar, creamer for coffee.

Location and the room was clean.

The ac was so loud especially during night. For being a resort breakfast seemed to be in lower standard setting. I've visited other resorts and the dining areas were nice. Staff seemed to be not very helpful and or knowledgeable.

It needs a lot of deferred maintenance or some TLC. Pool was dirty, chairs were tattered. Not what we expected from photos.

The dining. They advertise a restaurant, but it's not really part of the resort. You couldn't make any reservations even a couple of days before. Also they were reluctant to take takeout orders. Moreover they did not offer room service.

The hotel's proximity to my family destination was great!
