The Gadsden Hotel

Pros +

• Highlight of my trip. The hotel is amazing. The restaurant was great. I had a steak and beer on the terrace. Staff was very accommodating.
• Great historic hotel that is worth investing in to maintain. Everything was clean and comfortable. The owner has a real gem with this property.
• The history and the employees were far above average! The staff was not only helpful but were knowledgable of the history and surrounding places.

Cons -

• WiFi in the room did not work, but I wasn't there for the internet anyway.
• Had to move to different room because first one had 10-inch very wet puddle in the bed, which had been covered up by the dry bedspread. There was no leak in ceiling. 1st room was not renovated, tub had ugly water stains, sheets were too small for bed.
• It could use better air conditioning units.
