Hampton Inn Guntersville

The staff was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful.

I booked a handicapped room with a couch. The only thing handicapped about the room was it had a special door bell on the outside. It did not even have the couch. It was a regular bathtub with a grab bar. Not a deal breaker, just not as expected.

We enjoyed the fire pit outside and the oversized chairs. Comfy bed and pillows as well.

The elevators- one was out of order, the other one got stuck with people in it and it seems to be a reoccurring issue when they are at full capacity. I didn't mind having to take the stairs to the 3rd floor though. Staff was very kind and helpful.

There was mold in the ice maker. The staff was quick to get us clean ice from the kitchen though

The carpets were dirty and it made the soles of my feet black and it smelled alittle like fish.

The location was wonderful and rooms were great! Breakfast was very good too!

Exit from the pool back to our room was not convenient. It needs to have a key entrance back into hotel from the pool.

Employees need to work on customers service and there was a huge puddle of water in our bathroom when we checked in

The room was very cozy, roomy, neat and clean. We were very pleased to stay there. Our evening was very quiet and restful.

Upon checking in we stood at the front desk for at least 10 minutes before a young man finally came from the back to assist us. There were only two trash cans in our room and they were tiny! We have a baby and ate in the room. Had a lot of trash to throw.

The room was clean and neat. It over looked the lake and had nice adminitys.

Although I checked out at 330 a.m. I could not find front desk clerk to return key cards so just left them on desk.

Got 3 hours of sleep because fire alarms went off at 7 am untill 8am

It would have been more comfortable sleeping in the parking lot the bed was so hard!!!!

There was no toilet paper in my bathroom during my stay. I contacted the front desk to request some, but it was never delivered at any point during my visit.

Price, location view was awesome, brand. Front desk great!

Bathroom dated, dirty grout, dated wall covering. Breakfast.... hot food was warm, coffee warm, waffle mix - nope

Breakfast was good. (I’ll never be a fan of fake eggs, but there were some other proteins to choose from.) The view from the front of the hotel at night was spectacular at this time of year. The lake is decked out with many Christmas lights.

The bathroom fixtures are noticeably aging, but everything was very clean. The lights from the rear parking area are extremely bright at night and it would be nice if the curtains were slightly oversized to block out the edges of the window more thoroughly. None of these criticisms are a deal breaker. I would return here.

the fact they gave our room away. I arrived with a family of five for a baseball tournament. I was supposed to check in Wednesday night but did not make it, because I broke my toe. So, we showed up Thursday about 12 noon to found out they cancel my whole booking. This was unheard of. We luckily found a room elsewhere to accommodate us. My grandchildren were fearful we were going to have to sleep in the car.
