Nothing, the 3 star rating was false. The walls were thin and you could hear everyone's business. The rooms were small. The hotel looked like it was made out of storage containers. We left before staying our planned 2 nights for another hotel. The furniture felt old and out dated.

Clean good breakfast, better than the reviews would have lead you to think

Teeny tiny room but it was adequate

Since there are no coffee makers in the rooms, it was good that there is coffee in the upstairs lounge 24 hours/day. We had to check out too early to catch the ferry to take advantage of breakfast.

We did not get what we booked nor what was confirmed. We got one dog friendly room with two double beds and one non dog friendly room with two double beds. We booked two dog friendly rooms with queen beds and coffee makers in the room. No coffee makers. Bed not big enough for my large friend. In the dog friendly room one double bed was on a queen frame with dangerous exposed metal corners. The smoke detector was dangling from the ceiling. The door chain screws were pulled out of the wall rendering the chain useless.

It was my first and last time coming here

Both beds broken, tv broken, toilet barely flushes, sinks were clogged up

The breakfast was good, the location was fun to walk around, it was perfectly located to reach all the things you want to go to on the harbor, and the room was spacious enough.

I don't think our room was cleaned very well prior to check in as there was a bucket of water on the table, a used towel, etc. Otherwise it was fine.

What a weird little place; but exactly what we needed! Clean and comfortable too.

We got there late, but the next morning the walls proved to be thinner than we'd have liked. The family w/children next door seemed like they were right there w/us!

    Good location

We had to wait at the reception late at night for about 10 mins. The hotel is centrally heated and the rooms were very warm

Convenient location. Excellent breakfast that was included in the stay. Staff was friendly.

Beds were too firm for me.

Location, Price, Large Family Suite; Simple Breakfast included, on site laundry.

    Aged facility, poor insulation

    The cereal was good.

The place needed to be cleaned especially the bath tub. It needs a screen for the window. Wanted to open the window because it was hot. And we couldn't because was afraid the bugs would come in. The bed was like laying on a spring mattress. It was in walking distance to the pier. The places to eat was high . The only place we like was the Potato. It was good. But being in Alaska I wanted fish to eat. But the Fat Mermaid was so pricey and didn't get enough food for what you paid for. Some goes for Mike's. But I guess everything is high anymore. But if I'm paying 40.00 to 50.00 for a plate. Then it should have a good portion of fishBut the fishing charters was a blast. The weather damper a little. The keystone was the cheapest to stay in. But I think I would of paid a little more for a better bedroom.

Comfortable beds, great water pressure in the shower

Could use another shelf on the other side of the bed for glasses, etc

    Breakfast and staff

    Rooms were small

    7TerryPosted on: 8-12-2024

    Great breakfast, nice staff.

    Room was a bit cold.

    8GjersetPosted on: 8-12-2024

Breakfast was great. Staff was amazing.

Facility was a little sterile. Like most buildings in the new Valdez.

    4TeriPosted on: 8-11-2024

    good

Our room had a fan in the bathroom that was so loud you could not turn it on. One lamp had a shade, one was bare bulb. No table or anything next to bed to set beverage, phone, or something on. Very bad stained carpet.

    6Olivert82Posted on: 8-11-2024

We loved the waffles option for the breakfast and Alex, the stuffed bear welcoming guests at the entrance. The staff was polite.

The room was not clean, especially the toilet. The bed had hair in it. Roaming around the building, one can smell a variety of different and not always pleasant smells. The room was small for four people.

    3JenniferPosted on: 8-10-2024

Room was too hot. But the water was HOT and ice COLD.

    Horrible pillows!
