Other than the location to the beach, there was honestly nothing good about this hotel.

Top Tips
- Book beachfront hotels 6 to 8 weeks before major U.S. holidays such as Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Rates often rise by 40-70%, and room availability can drop below 30% within 2 weeks of these dates. Set a reminder to track key dates.
- Expect to pay about 19% extra over the listed hotel rate for a mandatory 16% VAT plus a 3% municipal tourism charge, which are often excluded from initial online quotes. Review your booking summary for these taxes before payment.
- Accommodations directly on Blvd. Benito Juárez provide up to 90% better access to pharmacies, ATMs, and restaurants compared to side streets. Staying within 200 meters makes most services walkable.
- Confirm Wi-Fi speed if you need to work remotely. Rosarito hotels have a median upload speed of 5-8 Mbps, and only 12% offer 25 Mbps or higher, usually required for video calls. Request a recent speed test from the hotel before booking.
- Decline dynamic currency conversion (DCC) when booking. Choose MXN at checkout to avoid a 3-5% hidden fee and secure the interbank rate.
- Staying north of Rosarito Pier means quieter nights, with noise levels 10-15 dB(A) lower than south of the pier, which averages three late-night noise complaints weekly in summer. Confirm your room’s location if you want peaceful rest.
- Use ATMs inside banks to reduce card skimming risk by about 70%, since standalone ATMs in tourist zones have four times the fraud rate.
- For step-free access, request it explicitly in writing as 'acceso sin escalones.' Only 18% of local hotels offer step-free entrances, and verbal assurances are often not matched. Confirm this in your booking details.
- Tap water is safe for drinking in 90% of Rosarito hotels, as the municipal supply meets WHO standards. About 10% report intermittent issues during July-August heatwaves, so ask reception for updates before drinking tap water.
- Carry 500-1,000 MXN (approx. $15 to $30 USD) in small bills for local purchases and tips, as about 75% of shops and beach vendors do not accept cards. This range typically covers small transactions during a short stay.
- Only two properties in Rosarito, such as Hotel Coral, are verified as all-inclusive. Other uses of 'all-inclusive' may be misleading, so review what’s included before booking.
- Look for CESTUR-certified hotels, such as Rosarito Beach Hotel, which use 30% less water and treat 100% of wastewater. Choose certified properties if sustainability matters to you.
