Clean and good location.
It is clean and quiet, but the tooms are very small and you need to crawl over the other person in bed to get out of bed, it is more a camping 2.0 feeling than an hotel.

Where to stay in Miami
Learn about the top neighbourhoods of Miami
When you have an early or late flight, this airport area has a wide variety of lodgings. This area dotted with lovely lakes is also a surprisingly convenient base for exploring the region, with downtown Miami just five miles east along the Dolphin Expressway. Almost as close are upscale neighborhoods like Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. In 20 minutes you can reach bustling South Beach or the wide-open spaces of the Everglades.
Situated west of Miami International Airport, this suburban enclave puts you minutes from the terminals. The area's championship golf courses are the main draw, and prestigious tournaments drawing the world's top players have been held here for decades. If you're headed to the Everglades, a 20-minute drive takes you to the border of this vast "river of grass." You're also about 20 minutes from the arts and entertainment district of downtown Miami.
An impressive skyline marks downtown, a hip urban enclave that's the central business district and a magnet for fashion and design. This is the city's arts and entertainment district, anchored by the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and the American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat. Port Miami welcomes millions of cruise ship passengers each year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Top Tips
- Expect additional hotel costs: Miami Beach properties commonly add resort fees of $15 to $45 per day and on-site parking fees of $15 to $60 per day, raising your total by 15-30% above the base rate. Book a rate labeled 'fees included' or obtain written confirmation of waived charges to avoid surprise costs. Loyalty status or certain credit cards may cover or offset some fees, so check your benefits.
- Miami hotel rates typically double or more during Art Basel (early December) and the Miami Boat Show (February). Reserve rooms 60 to 120 days in advance and review cancellation terms, as stricter policies often apply for these events. These occasions draw large crowds and boost local culture, with events ranging from museum exhibits to harbor tours.
- Plan for an additional 12-18% in lodging taxes and fees added to nightly hotel rates in Miami. Florida state sales tax and local surcharges appear at checkout—always review the 'final price' on your booking to confirm total costs. Compare all-in prices on more than one booking site for transparency.
- Select your Miami neighborhood with your itinerary in mind. Brickell high-rises offer Metrorail and Metromover access for easier daytime transit, while South Beach hotels place you by the sand, with louder nights and higher resort or parking fees. Coconut Grove offers quieter evenings and fewer hotel choices, with Vizcaya Museum and Gardens nearby as a landmark.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) at hotel desks and in taxis; paying in US dollars or letting your card provider handle the conversion usually avoids an extra 2-7% fee. This is especially relevant for non-US cardholders in areas like South Beach and PortMiami. Always review the final charge before approving payment, particularly in busy tourist zones.
- If booking between June 1 and November 30, be aware this is hurricane season in Miami. Choose refundable rates or travel insurance with named-storm coverage. Check NOAA updates within 72 hours of arrival for current advisories. Many major hotels have hurricane protocols in place; ask about these at check-in if you have concerns.
- Remote work requires reliable connectivity—ask for an on-arrival speed test, wired Ethernet, or a room away from noisy areas like pools and restaurants if you need single-user video at 50 Mbps or above. Request access to business lounges or dedicated workspaces at larger hotels if you need a more reliable environment.
- Art Deco and boutique South Beach hotels often have limited step-free rooms and elevator access due to historic layouts. Call 48 to 72 hours in advance to confirm specific accessibility features like grab bars or roll-in showers. Ask for detailed descriptions of accessible routes and facilities at booking.
- For safer nighttime transportation, use rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft for pickups in PortMiami and South Beach. Always check that card readers or contactless payment is available to reduce skimming risk near nightlife or the port. If using taxis instead, choose licensed providers and confirm the fare before starting your trip.
- Tap water in Miami hotels is treated and safe to drink. Before a beach visit following heavy rainfall, check Miami-Dade Beach Status online for possible advisories or closures, as local beaches sometimes close due to runoff. Ask your hotel staff about current advisories and free water amenities such as hydration stations or bottled water.
- If you have allergies, chain or high-rise hotels in Brickell and Downtown are more likely to provide standardized cleaning protocols and mattress encasements than small boutique hotels. Request documentation at booking and ask if allergy-friendly rooms, hypoallergenic bedding, or in-room air purifiers are available. Notify the hotel of severe allergies in advance to help their staff prepare.
