The staff was very friendly and the breakfast is always very good. The breakfast is far and beyond other hotels, we have stayed, That is why we always try for a room in the Rodd first. Sometimes if we can' get a room there we don' bother going to Moncton.
Staff members were polite and professional. Seemed to be understaffed and busy, but still gave us their full attention while we were checking in.

Friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Underground garage fun in winter.Good location. Comfy beds.
They are still making an effort during covid times to provide a free decent hot breakfast (Served, rather than buffet), unlike most hotels who are just offering â∠Âgrab-and-goââˆbags (muffin, granola bar, fruit, yogurt etc). Great location. Nice, large r

Top Tips
- Account for the 15% HST on your nightly rate. In New Brunswick, this is charged on all accommodations and can add approximately $15 to $45 USD ($20 to $65 CAD) to an $80 to $300 CAD room. Check if the quoted nightly rate includes HST to avoid unexpected charges at checkout.
- Plan airport transfers from Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport (YQM), located about 10 kilometers from downtown. A taxi or rideshare typically takes 10 to 15 minutes and costs approximately $15 to $25 USD ($20 to $35 CAD) one way. Some hotels offer pre-bookable airport shuttles - confirm availability and pick-up locations before arrival.
- Base family stays near Magnetic Hill to reduce drive time to top attractions; this area is about 10 to 15 minutes (8 to 12 km) from downtown. Hotels near Magnetic Hill often provide family suites or kitchenettes, adding flexibility for longer or multi-generational visits.
- Schedule Hopewell Rocks as a day trip, located roughly 40 to 45 minutes east (45 to 55 km) from Moncton. Plan to arrive around low tide (check tides.gc.ca) to walk the ocean floor, and combine your visit with lunch in nearby Alma for a taste of local seafood along Route 114.
- Request French-language service if needed; Moncton has one of Canada's highest English/French bilingual rates, but some smaller hotels or B&Bs may offer limited French signage or documentation. If French forms or documentation matter for your stay, confirm availability before arrival.
- Parking policies vary across Moncton hotels; many suburban properties include free parking, while downtown or convention-area locations may add fees of roughly $15 USD ($20 CAD) per day. If staying downtown, compare hotel rates with nearby public lots, as daily charges can differ.
- Prioritize convention-area or Main Street hotels for accessible, step-free rooms. Newer properties near the convention center often have wider elevators and roll-in showers compared to older buildings. Contact the hotel for a full list of accessibility details and ask for floor plans or photos in advance.
- Pack seasonally: average summer highs run about 20-27°C (68-81°F), while winter snaps often bring temperatures below -15°C (5°F) with snow. Moncton streets and sidewalks are usually cleared within hours, but a rental car may require winter tires or covered parking to avoid delays.
- Confirm business-grade connectivity before remote-work stays. Ask the hotel for recent speed-test results or a wired Ethernet/business center option, as speeds can vary. Use the business center as a backup for critical tasks if in-room internet is inconsistent.
