The Staff was very nice and professional. They cleaned the room everyday and always had a smile on their face.
The staff were all super nice. We had been driving 500 miles & were exhausted. There is $10 parking fee but it was well worth it. We felt safe & the hotel is beautiful. We ate breakfast buffet for $10, lots of choices & was good. Beds comfy. Room clean.

Top Tips
- Book at least 6-12 weeks ahead for Kansas State University home football and graduation weekends, since Manhattan hotel rates can double or triple compared to midweek off-season dates. Early planning helps secure availability and avoid last-minute price increases.
- Request a room facing away from Aggieville if you need quiet. This nightlife district sees peak street noise from 11 PM to 2 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, and game weekends.
- Consider hotels along Anderson Avenue or near I-70 exits for easier parking and highway access. These locations typically offer free on-site parking and faster access to I-70 compared to downtown properties.
- Manhattan Regional Airport (MHK) is 7 miles (11 km) from city center and has limited commercial flights, mostly by American Airlines. Arrange airport transportation or car rentals in advance, as day-of rental availability is limited.
- Review local lodging taxes when comparing hotel costs. Kansas charges a 6.5% state sales tax plus Manhattan and Riley County transient or occupancy taxes, often raising the total bill by a noticeable amount. Confirm the final price including all taxes before booking.
- For remote work or video calls, ask for a room away from elevators and ice machines, and confirm Wi-Fi speed at check-in. Free internet is typical, but speeds may drop during high occupancy.
- Manhattan supplies potable municipal tap water meeting federal safety standards, so all hotels use this source. No need to budget for bottled water for everyday use.
- Elite loyalty perks like upgrades or late checkout may be unavailable during high-occupancy events such as football games or graduation weekends. Confirm benefit availability directly with the hotel if you rely on these privileges for your stay.
