The bedding & pillows were so comfortable. The color of the bedroom & bedding was pleasing. The fan worked great on the air conditioning unit. There was carpet! The picture on the wall was my deciding factor for choosing this hotel over another.
No, this hotel had the friendliest employees I’ve ever had to deal with while staying at a hotel. Beyond 5 stars! From the front desk being very welcoming and having welcoming smiles on their faces EVERYDAY to housekeepers holding doors. Excellent hotel!

Very clean. Bright, and very well located within walking distance of Benderson Park and UTC Mall. Front desk accommodated early check in and agreed to assign a room away from the pool and noise. Housekeeping appeared to clean the room quite late.

Top Tips
- For the shortest transfer to Sarasota hotels, book into Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ); it is typically a 15-20 minute drive to downtown hotels, compared to 75 minutes from Tampa International Airport (TPA). Use hotel shuttle services if available or confirm estimated rideshare fares in advance, which range from $15 to $35 from SRQ.
- Secure standard hotel rooms at least 45 days in advance for stays between mid-November and April high season; book 90+ days ahead for beachfront or premium rooms, as popular locations like Siesta Key and Lido Key frequently sell out early and prices can rise by 30% during peak dates.
- Siesta Key's renowned 99% quartz sand beach draws crowds, so allocate 10-30 extra minutes for parking or wait for a hotel shuttle on weekends. Lido and Longboat Key generally offer quieter evenings and easier parking, though expect nightly rates to be $50 to $150 higher. Check with your hotel for reserved guest parking or shuttle details.
- Check Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) and Mote Marine Laboratory reports for marine or red tide conditions before booking non-refundable rates. Blooms may trigger local beach closures or cause respiratory irritation from late summer through fall. Look for hotels with indoor pools or alternative amenities during these periods.
- Public transit to the barrier islands is limited; Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) island bus routes run less frequently, adding 15-30 minutes for connections. For evening returns or ADA accessibility, confirm rideshare options or ask your hotel about on-demand shuttle or accessible transportation services.
- Sarasota's hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. Purchase trip insurance with named-storm coverage or opt for refundable hotel rates, and confirm individual hotel cancellation policies for weather-related events.
- Choose between downtown hotels, which are within a 10-15 minute walk or drive of cultural venues like Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, and barrier-island hotels, where you will enjoy immediate beach access but spend 10-25 minutes reaching mainland museums and shops. Many top hotels offer scheduled shuttles between locations - confirm service hours at booking.
- Hotel parking and resort fees on Sarasota's barrier islands can add $15 to $45 per day. Confirm if parking is included in your rate, free for loyalty members, or charged separately. Inquire about accessible parking and ramp access if needed.
