The hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
The Buffet and 3 of the 5 Restaurants.
The cleaners cleaned the room really well. Compared to US hotel cleaners, they exceeded my expectations. WiFi was great. Breakfast at the buffet was really good.

Staff and some of the food. Location of room to pool
The location is amazing. The hotel is on a beautiful gated property and right next to Quivera golf course.
The beds were very comfortable. Food wise - At Peninsula, I strongly recommend trying both of these appetizers - the clam and tuna - they were both AMAZING. For desert the corn cake and the molten chocolate cake were both WONDERFUL!

We have been to a lot of resorts/all inclusive/cruises/VRBO/hotels... this was one of our favorites. We love the small boutique vibe. The view was absolutely incredible. we like the nostalgia and that we were able to use the sister resorts.
Right on the Ocean and Food was great. Staff were all hard working, kind people.
Such a great location, with solid food & not so huge....

The staff were great to deal with, breakfast had a good selection. The room were cleaned well and comfortable.
Nice price for last-minute trip. Good location (Costco across the road) and easy access to downtown via Uber. Breakfast buffet was okay, if predictable. Very clean rooms and friendly personnel.

Location, ability to use the shuttle to go to other related locations, such as the Pueblo Bonito Sunset for dinner still on the all-inclusive.
The shared benefits of sister property, Sunset. We were able to visit the pool and dine at the restaurants which had more selections.
Location is great and safe, close to the marina, restaurants.

The location and the staff
The location is super
Location really lets you walk around and explore restaurants and shops. We did not take all inclusive as we don?t drink that much and only do two meals a day.

The staff is so friendly and wonderful literally at every location! And the resort is absolutely beautiful, cannot get over the landscape and the views.

The location room and staff were great
Location. Awesome room with a view of the marina
With already being in the marina we were close to a lot of stuff we planned and we had the choice of walking or catching a taxi. Also we booked the double bed room and we each had our own shower and restroom which made it easier to share the bathroom.

The staff here is great.
The cleanliness, maintenance and staff was definitely worth the stay.
The architecture is beautiful and the rooms are large. Everything else was terrible. Starting from the pushy sales people trying to get you to spend hours with them for their sales presentation on their new construction. Calling your room at 8 am.

The room was modern and clean, and you can¿t beat the location and beach access.
Location was great. Near downtown and the marina. Right on the beach.
Perfect location for a hotel in Cabo if you like nightlife and a cool day time vibe. Not a family spot, but definitely a beautiful amazing spot. We will definitely be back.

The food and beverage was excellent. Service by most staff was great.
We liked the location, the beach, the view. UBER cost approximately $4 to get to the Marina from villa del palmar (pick-up at gate)where there are shops, restaurants etc. Also the Beach restaurants were in walkable distance.

The Hard Rock was clean and comfortable. The people were amazing! I had wonderful service everywhere I went. The food and drinks were pretty good. My favorite restaurant was Umo for dinner and Los Gallos for breakfast.
Safety and kindness & hospitality of staff
We had a concierge who was an awesome representative of the HardRock. All employees were very attentive to our needs. I can?t not emphasize how great this resort is.

Staff is excellent all-around. Great pool with bar. Restaurant staff, especially Javier, took great care of us and put our game on the big screen during early morning "March Madness". Breakfast buffet is excellent. Convenient location.
Modern clean well kept and friendly staff. No issues other than they were stingy with towels. One hand towel only. Everything in walking distance and great restuarants nearby.
Modern, good location, great tv channel selection, nice breakfast included

Sandos is directly across from the Marina and Plaza. We could walk there each day. We rented charters on three different days, so the location made it easy. We didn't have to pay taxis $20-$30 each way to take us back and forth. Loved Sandos
Spacious resort and room, fantastic location away from the craziness of town and very clean. Staff was absolutely wonderful & accommodating. Lots of activities.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel in Cabo San Lucas 2 to 4 months ahead for travel during December to April; for holiday weeks and March, secure reservations 4 to 6 months in advance to access more room types and avoid price surges of 15 to 30% closer to arrival. Compare properties and look for flexible cancellation options, especially for periods with major events or spring break.
- Expect a 16% federal VAT (IVA) on your room rate; many hotels also add a hotel or resort fee, often 10 to 15%. Always confirm the total tax and fee amount before booking to accurately compare offers; some properties may also include additional municipal taxes or special-package inclusions.
- Prebook an airport shuttle or hotel transfer from Los Cabos International (SJD) to Cabo San Lucas (a 45 to 60-minute drive, 40 to 45 km) to lock in a fixed fare, usually MX$500–1000 (approx. $30–$60 USD; verify fare), and avoid unmetered taxi costs at arrivals. Check shuttle or hotel partner service hours for late arrivals.
- Select your hotel neighborhood by what matters most: El Médano offers direct beach and nightlife access within 1 km, Marina/Centro hotels are closest to private boat tours and excursions, and Pedregal provides privacy and sea views but often requires walking up steep hills or booking private transport.
- If step-free access is important, request an accessible or ground-floor room at booking, especially in Pedregal or cliffside hotels with multi-level layouts and stairs. Confirm elevator availability or specific accessibility features directly with the hotel, as many luxury properties provide accessible amenities on request.
- Always ask to be billed in MXN when paying at hotels to avoid extra 1 to 8% dynamic currency conversion markups. Use a no-foreign-transaction-fee credit card and review your receipt for currency before signing to prevent unnecessary conversion charges.
- Carry MX$500 to $1000 in small bills for a multi-day stay, as taxis, beach vendors, and local shops prefer pesos, though hotels and restaurants generally accept cards. Withdrawing pesos from ATMs in tourist zones minimizes overpaying or incurring venue exchange fees.
- Tip in pesos per local customs: typically MX$20 to $50 per bag for bell service, MX$20 to $50 per day for housekeeping, and 10 to 15% at sit-down restaurants if service is not included. Always check the restaurant bill for added service charges before tipping.
- Use only bottled or hotel-purified water for drinking and tooth brushing. Tap water is generally not safe for drinking in Cabo, and ice sources may vary; most major hotels supply complimentary sealed bottled water or filtered dispensers in rooms daily.
- Consider bringing a local prepaid SIM (Telcel or AT&T) or a portable hotspot if reliable work connectivity is essential, as hotel Wi-Fi can slow during high-occupancy evenings. Main tourist zones have good cellular coverage, and some hotels provide business centers with stable connections for critical tasks.
