The neighborhood close to many good restaurants and a convenience store, even a pharmacy was within a few steps from the hotel. Room was nice smaller than I would have thought being we paid more.
Hotel staff was friendly and helped us plan our route each day.
The location of the hotel is very nice - within walking distance (provided one considers 1-2 miles walking distance) of many tourist attractions.

Location. Nice professsional service
The location was very convenient with proximity to two major rail stations. The staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. Also, for what was clearly advertised as a small room, my room was a pretty good size. It was quiet and clean.

Where to stay in Paris
Learn about the top neighbourhoods of Paris
Nothing in Paris is more picturesque than strolling through the Champ de Mars taking in the spectacular view of Paris' most famous attraction, the Eiffel Tower. For a different view, tour Paris from the water on a riverboat in the Seine - many of them set sail around this area. The area is also home to Invalides, a complex dedicated to France's military history. Visitors are also within easy reach of the nearby Le Bon Marché, the world's first department store, as well as surrounding cafes and shops.
Home to one of the most prestigious stretches in Paris - the Avenue des Champs Elysees - this area puts visitors among high-fashion shops, restaurants, theaters and nightlife. Here you can also see the monumental Arc de Triomphe, the Elysee Palace (the official residence of the French President) and the Grand Palais. The Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre are within easy reach. You can get around the area with ease via the Metro system, and the nearby Gare Saint Lazare, one of the busiest railway stations in Europe, can help you travel beyond Paris.

Top Tips
- Book at least 4–8 weeks ahead for high-demand Paris periods such as Fashion Week or Bastille Day. Rates can rise 20–50% and boutique hotels (under 40 rooms) often fill quickly. Compare dates for flexibility.
- Select a hotel within 500–800 m (about a 5–10 minute walk) of a Metro or RER stop on lines 1, 4, 7, 9, or RER A/B for efficient citywide access and direct airport routes. Check station distance on a map before booking.
- Many Paris hotels in historic buildings may lack in-room air-conditioning and step-free elevator access. Confirm AC is available in your room (not just in public areas), and ask about elevator access or stair-only floors if you have mobility or comfort needs.
- Request a courtyard-facing or explicitly "quiet" room to reduce night noise from major roads or cafés. Ask if windows are double-glazed and check recent guest reviews for noise comments.
- Standard check-in is after 15:00 and check-out is before 11:00. Most hotels store bags at no extra charge before check-in or after checkout, but confirm in advance, as some smaller hotels close reception from midnight to 6:00.
- Review recent, verified guest feedback for precise room size in square meters, Wi-Fi speed, and cleanliness. Paris double rooms average 12–16 m²; request these details if not listed.
- A city tax ("taxe de séjour") of about €1–4 per person, per night (based on hotel star rating) is payable on site and is not included in most quoted prices. Budget accordingly for your full reservation cost.
- France uses type C or E plugs and 230V voltage. Bring a universal adapter and check your device's voltage rating supports 220–240V. Hotel front desks may have limited spares, but availability is not guaranteed.
- Most hotels pre-authorize a credit card for incidentals, and some smaller properties require full prepayment with non-refundable or non-changeable policies. Review payment and cancellation rules before booking.
- Book directly with the hotel to access perks such as complimentary breakfast, early check-in, or upgrades—benefits may not always appear on third-party sites. Ask about current offers on the hotel's website or by phone before finalizing.
- Staff at Paris hotels appreciate guests who use basic French. Greetings such as "Bonjour" (daytime), "Bonsoir" (evening), "Merci" (thank you), and "S'il vous plaît" (please) usually lead to friendlier service.
- Use your hotel room safe, when available, for passports and valuables. Carry a copy of your ID when sightseeing, and secure originals unless required for check-in or official requests.
- Ask the front desk about direct airport transfers or local taxi services. Pre-booked rides to Charles de Gaulle Airport usually cost €55–65 (approx. $60–$70 USD as of early 2024) and to Orly €35–45 (approx. $38–$48); confirm current flat rates by zone.
- Hotel spa treatments and Michelin-starred restaurant tables often fill up 2–4 weeks in advance, especially in spring and summer. Reserve early, even if you are a guest, to guarantee your preferred time.
- Hotel breakfasts typically cost €15–30 per person (approx. $16–$32 USD, conversion as of early 2024). Save by visiting a local bakery where fresh pastries and coffee usually cost €2–6. Most hotels allow takeaway in public areas.
- Gratuity is included ("service compris"), but locals sometimes leave €1–5 for good service or for porters. There is no need to tip for included or buffet breakfast if already charged.
- All guests must show a valid passport or EU national ID at check-in for registration. Children's documents may be scanned as well; confirm if you need extra paperwork for non-EU travelers.
