The location of this hotel is amazing. Beautiful view, beautiful water and beach. It is in a walkable area of the island so you don¿t feel tethered to the resort. We were very pleased with how nice the hotel is for the price.

Great rooms, staff friendly, food not overpriced (it's expensive, but that's Bora Bora - its about as much as food outside the resort). Did not encounter some of the disorganization that some reviews have mentioned.
Air conditioning, bathtub, water, view, very friendly staff, place was well kept and in good condition, architecture was great, Polynesian music and dancing was exceptional, breakfast chefs were great, management was very helpful and accommodating.
Not only the scenery and hotel upkeep is great but the staff is what making it even more amazing. We can¿t wait to go back!

Nothing. We wanted to leave from the moment we got there but the resort is so remote with no wifi except for in a small 'business center'.

Top Tips
- Book overwater bungalows 6 to 12 months ahead for peak dates in July to August and mid-December to secure your preferred option, as rates can double and many hotels reach full occupancy during these periods. If accessible accommodation is needed, reserve early and confirm your requirements directly with the property.
- Plan resort boat transfers after your 50-minute Air Tahiti flight from Papeete to Bora Bora. Confirm transfer arrangements in advance—some major resorts include prepaid boat transfers, while others charge 7,000 to 15,000 XPF (approx. $65 to $135 USD, verify current rate) per adult for the 10 to 25 minute ride from Motu Mute Airport; prices vary by hotel brand.
- Pay in XPF (CFP franc) instead of using Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) to avoid markups, and always request charges in XPF at hotels and shops. The fixed rate is 1 EUR to 119.33 XPF.
- ATMs are available only in Vaitape, so bring enough XPF for local vendors and taxis outside the main town. Many motu resorts accept cards, but local transfers and markets may be cash-only; your hotel concierge can advise on recommended withdrawal amounts.
- Pack EU plug adapters and a 220 to 240V charger for your electronics as power outlets follow French standards. Some hotels loan adapters but quantities can be limited, so confirm availability with your property in advance.
- Check with your hotel at arrival if tap water is safe to drink. Many motu resorts provide bottled water or recommend against drinking tap water for guest safety.
- Request accessibility support before arrival if needed; most overwater bungalows require steps or ladders and step-free options are uncommon. Hotels can arrange accessible rooms or adaptations on request where possible.
- Wi-Fi speeds and stability differ by resort. Confirm Mbps ratings ahead if you need reliable connectivity—for example, for remote work. Shared networks may have high latency; ask about private router or business center access if this is essential.
- Check Air Tahiti’s baggage limits for domestic flights: most fares allow 23 kg (50 lbs) checked and 5 kg (11 lbs) carry-on. Prepay for excess baggage, as surcharges at the airport for turboprop flights are higher.
- Hotel restaurant bills usually include a service charge ('service compris') of 5 to 10 percent; tipping is optional and 5 to 10 percent is only expected for exceptional service.
