Terrific location in Lapad. There was always something going on outside. Very vibrant (but not annoyingly so), tons of places to eat and hang out, a 3 minute walk to the beach, 3 minute walk to the bus stop that takes you to the Old City in 7 minutes.

Very nice hotel, short and easy walk from the ferry, can still walk to the old town in less than a half hour (or take a short cab ride). Nice large bathroom (not the usual for European hotels). Quiet rooms (compared to older buildings).

Top Tips
- Book hotels in Dubrovnik's Old Town 3 to 6 months in advance to secure lower rates, as prices often rise by 20-30% for peak travel in June to August. Early booking helps ensure availability near the City Walls and Stradun.
- Confirm step-free access before booking any Old Town property, since many historic buildings have stairs and limited or no elevators. Request staff assistance with luggage from the street gate if you have mobility needs.
- Expect a municipal tourist tax added at checkout. Review your booking confirmation for the current per-person, per-night rate to avoid surprises on your bill.
- Arrange transit from Dubrovnik Airport (Čilipi) to Old Town by official taxi (20-30 minutes, 20 km) or shuttle bus (30-60 minutes). Use official taxi ranks or prebook transfers to minimize wait times.
- Pay in euros (€) and always reject Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) on card machines to avoid extra fees, since Croatia adopted the euro in 2023. Select 'EUR' at payment terminals to be billed correctly.
- Book at least 3 to 6 months ahead for July to August stays or during the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, as hotel occupancy is near full capacity in these periods and last-minute options can be limited.
- Rooms facing Old Town’s main gates or Stradun can be noisy into summer nights. For a quieter stay, request a courtyard-facing or higher-floor room in historic buildings; hotel staff can advise on noise-reducing options.
- Purchase a local prepaid SIM or eSIM from Hrvatski Telekom, A1, or Telemach upon arrival for reliable mobile data and maps, as hotel Wi-Fi is sometimes inconsistent inside historic buildings.
- Plan for ferry departures: day-trip ferries to islands leave from Gruž port, a 10-20 minute bus or taxi ride from Old Town, while Lokrum boats depart near Pile gate with a 10-minute crossing. Check ferry schedules in advance, especially outside peak season.
- For greater value and a quieter atmosphere, consider hotels in Lapad or Babin Kuk, which are 5-10 minutes by car or 15-25 minutes by bus from Old Town. These neighborhoods often feature pools and larger rooms not common in the center.
