Nothing this place is a dumpster fire. It has no breakfast, smells like cat litter and has no staff
I did not like anything about this hotel. The hotel was very dirty. They also didn’t have any breakfast and they stated in the description that it has breakfast there they also made me pay $100 deposit for a cleaning fee even though the rooms were dirty

It was clean.
They had given me a room on the second floor and asked if it's okay because their elevator was down and when I told them I have extremely bad asthma, they insisted on changing rooms to the first floor. Very much appreciated this gesture!

I liked the location and proximity to the Mall of America the best.
That it was the same hotel that my sister-in-law was staying with her group of Air Force reservists. It made it much easier for my wife to visit with her sibling. It was close to major highway and very easy to get to. Staff was great and very friendly.

Top Tips
- Book hotels early for peak periods, like Vikings playoff games or summer weekends, to secure a room within 0.5 miles of the Mall of America or Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). Rates often remain refundable or flexible if plans change, but nearby hotels usually fill fast around major events.
- Compare package deals that combine your hotel room with Mall of America attraction tickets, airport shuttle service, or park-and-fly parking. Bundle discounts and inclusions vary, but always check the total cost with taxes and parking, not just the nightly rate.
- Review all Minnesota and local lodging taxes, which can total 13-15% in Bloomington, plus daily resort or parking fees before booking. Confirm any credit card incidental holds at check-in.
- Bring a government-issued photo ID and the credit card used for your reservation to check-in. International visitors should show a passport. Most local hotels offer ADA-accessible rooms, but request one in advance if needed.
- Request early check-in or late check-out ahead of arrival; standard times are 3:00 PM for check-in and late morning for check-out. Loyalty program members may get 1-2 hour flexibility, but availability can vary day to day.
- Use the METRO Blue Line light rail or hotel shuttles for fast access between MSP Airport, Mall of America, and downtown Minneapolis. Shuttles typically run every 20-30 minutes, though schedules can change with demand.
- Ask about parking policies, especially in winter. Many airport-area hotels offer free overnight parking, but long-term stays or event parking may cost extra. Confirm if snow removal affects early morning vehicle access.
- Pack warm layers and allow extra travel time during Bloomington winters, when temperatures may dip below freezing and snow is frequent. Many hotels provide boot drying racks and shuttle access during storms, and having an ice scraper for rental cars is useful.
- Check your hotel's Wi-Fi speed and business amenities if you need to work while traveling. Most major chains provide a business center or on-site printing, though premium Wi-Fi may incur a fee.
- Families can enjoy indoor pools, spacious suites, and hot breakfast buffets, with some hotels serving local specialties like wild rice pancakes. Many locations offer Mall of America attraction packages and pool hours run from early morning to late evening.
- Verify pet policies before booking; many Bloomington hotels allow dogs for a fee and require notice in advance. Some limit breed or size, and several local parks are dog-friendly.
- Expect non-smoking policies throughout most hotel interiors, and fines apply for indoor smoking. Designated outdoor smoking areas are usually located near hotel parking lots.
- Store valuables in your room safe or at the front desk. While Bloomington is generally safe, petty theft or occasional car break-ins may occur, especially in large parking lots like those at Mall of America.
- Check current health and entry protocols, including any COVID-19 requirements or local sanitation policies. Most major hotels list their cleaning procedures online, but call to confirm if you require additional precautions.
- Follow standard U.S. tipping: bell staff, housekeepers, and shuttle or valet drivers should receive $1–$5 per bag or per service, and $2–$5 per night for housekeeping. Tipping 15-20% is expected for restaurant service, and some full-service hotels allow gratuities to be charged to your room.
- Ask staff courteously for quieter rooms or extra amenities like adapters or blankets; most requests are quickly accommodated. Minnesota hospitality is reflected in prompt, friendly service.
- During busy Mall of America events, expect crowds and longer transit times. Use lesser-known entrances and check shuttle times, particularly if you need to pass through security lines.
- If renting a car, review Minnesota driving rules and parking fees, and request winter-ready tires or chains if planning rural trips. Most rental agencies provide roadside assistance phone numbers on the rental agreement.
- Families can book hotels with indoor pools and complimentary breakfast, and suites offer extra space for children. Kids can explore Mall of America attractions while parents enjoy breakfast, with package deals sometimes lowering the cost.
- Solo travelers can prioritize well-reviewed, centrally located hotels with reliable public transit access to Mall of America. Join group tours or attend a hotel event for a safe social experience.
- Business travelers benefit from reliable Wi-Fi, dedicated business centers, and complimentary airport shuttles at most hotels. Some offer evening social hours or shared workspaces in addition to flexible check-out.
- Ask the front desk about exclusive hotel partnerships for shuttle service, attraction ticket deals, or local discounts, especially for seasonal events. Some locations feature discounts on Mall of America or SEA LIFE Aquarium entry.
- If attending sports or concerts, confirm your hotel’s shuttle or transit options to major venues like U.S. Bank Stadium. The Metro Blue Line offers late-night service connecting downtown with Mall of America.
