Quieter than many others, despite roofers replacing the roofing during daytime hours. Their willingness to improve it will help me decide to use them again. Wi-Fi is decent. I would suggest using VPN as I doubt security.

Top Tips
- Book Laramie lodging 3 to 6 weeks ahead to access rates that can be 15% to 25% lower than high-demand summer or university event weekends. For greater savings, target April, October, or off-peak weekdays.
- Confirm Wi-Fi speeds before arrival. Business-oriented hotels in Laramie typically offer download speeds between 50-100 Mbps; for remote work or streaming, ask the front desk for recent speed test results, as connection quality varies.
- Take advantage of downtown Laramie’s walkability. Many hotels within 1 mile (1.6 km) of the University of Wyoming provide access to flat sidewalks and nearby shops and restaurants. Check for step-free or ramp access if mobility is a concern.
- University of Wyoming events such as football games and commencements can increase hotel rates by 30% to 50%. Book 2 to 3 months ahead during these periods for better rates and more availability. Check for minimum stay requirements or event-specific cancellation policies.
- Look for hotels that include free on-site parking; street parking downtown is limited, especially from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. Confirm ADA parking availability and overnight restrictions if needed.
- Always verify pet policies prior to arrival—standard fees range from $15 to $75 per stay, with possible weight or breed restrictions. Ask about onsite pet relief areas or nearby dog parks for convenience.
- Expect limited late-night dining; most restaurants and bars near hotels close by 10 PM on weekdays, especially outside the downtown core. Ask your hotel about 24-hour snack shops, vending, or in-room dining options.
- Cell service may drop to 1-2 bars on roads leading to Laramie’s natural attractions, while downtown reception is generally strong. Download maps for offline use before exploring areas such as Vedauwoo Recreation Area, or ask about hotel-provided local area maps.
- Hotels near I-80 provide fast highway access for road trippers, but may have higher road noise. Request a room facing away from the freeway or on a higher floor for a quieter stay.
- During May and September, Laramie's 'shoulder seasons,' expect hotel prices to be 10% to 20% higher due to tourism and university events. Book early to secure better rates, or consider nearby towns for more options.
