Location, room, and quietness
The hotel was great, the room was very clean.
It was obviously recently remodeled, so it was clean. There were two properties next to each other. If I were to guess this property was purchased later. The price was good. It had a gym and a small exercise room.

All of it really
The actual building and rooms and where it's located
The room was clean, however, there was nothing in it. We figured since it was with a kitchenette, it would have stuff to use in a kitchen.

My room with a king bed wasn?t ready, so I had to take a queen to prepare for a venue. The room smelled like smoke. When we returned later that evening, there were roaches! The pillows smelled horrible and there were bed bugs.

Nice area nice staff looks nice when first come in room but not cleaned well at all to much hair all over the places especially on the towels.
The staff were hard-working, long suffering, kind and as accommodating as anyone could wish for. They reported working double and in one case, a triple shift, because of understaffing. I'd call it employee abuse.
The staff was as apologetic as could be but didn¿t offer any accommodations

The Employees were very nice and attentive.
To say that to hotel was dirty would be an understatement. We found hair on the wall, a roach in the chandelier, and the ac did not work. This is just the start. I left 2 days in once we found the roach. I have pictures of all of this as well.
The idea of being able to use the pool and hot tub which didn¿t materialize because they were out of order most of the time. And when open, hot tub wasn¿t hot.

continued from dislikes: When we went up to our room, 401 it had been a smoking room. There was a clear bag covering the smoke detector.

The room itself was clean and just fine for one night. And with the size of the hotel I was concerned there would be a lot of people staying there but there really weren?t so it was very quiet which was also fantastic.

Top Tips
- Book 8 to 12 weeks ahead for UT Dallas commencement and campus events, as hotels fill quickly and rates typically rise. Booking farther ahead increases options for accessible rooms and family suites for groups with varying needs. To avoid penalties if plans change, check for flexible cancellation policies in case event dates shift.
- DFW Airport is about 29 to 40 kilometers (18 to 25 miles) from central Richardson; plan for 30 to 60 minutes travel time, especially during peak hours. Several hotel chains offer shuttle service to or from DFW for a fee—confirm with your hotel. Rideshare services are widely available if you need a quick backup option.
- Most suburban hotels include free self-parking, but CityLine and downtown-adjacent garages may charge $15 to $20 USD per day. Accessible parking spaces are available by law, but confirm availability directly when booking if required. Select hotels provide EV charging—request current details at booking.
- Use the DART Red Line from Galatyn Park to downtown Dallas for a 25 to 30-minute ride, which helps avoid US-75 peak hour congestion. Multi-day DART passes can save up to 20% compared to single-trip fares. Galatyn Park Station features ramps and visual signage for accessible travel.
- Select a room away from US-75 to reduce traffic noise, such as an interior, courtyard-facing, or higher-floor room. Most modern hotels offer double-glazed windows for noise reduction, and guests with sensitivities can request a hypoallergenic room or specific floor in advance.
- Expect weekday corporate premiums in the Telecom Corridor, with weekday hotel rates commonly 10% to 30% higher than weekends. Compare weekend rates for suites or club-level rooms—percentage differences can be smaller on upgraded room types. If traveling for work, some chain loyalty programs offer flexible check-in options on weekdays.
- Richardson's municipal tap water is potable according to city reports, so a refillable bottle saves on hotel mini-bar upcharges. Ice and filtered water dispensers are available on most hotel floors. If you have dietary or health sensitivities, confirm water quality at check-in or use the in-room coffee maker to boil water.
- Hotels around CityLine and Galatyn Park offer single-seat DART access and place you within a 5 to 10-minute walk of major brands like Aloft Richardson and Hyatt Regency North Dallas, plus local favorites such as Jasper's. Outdoor pathways are well-lit but can be busy during weekday evenings.
