Clean, spacious modern rooms nestled in a hotel that contained sections of cowboy ambience because Bandera is "the cowboy capital of America." A good eperience.
Bed and pillows were comfortable
Fantastic location. Tons of bars restaurants and shops within walking location. On main Street so noisy all night long. But did not interfere with my sleep. It was a party weekend for our group.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at; decorated amazingly, huge parking lot.
This hotel was clean for the most part in the room was very comfortable, did not like that their bathroom amenities were attached to the wall, like somebody was going to take more than their share. I¿ve never seen this many property.

We were very pleased with the grounds of the resort and staff. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
We were attending the UCC two day Golf Tournament and Seminar And Expo and it was so nice to walk to each event instead of rushing in a taxi or Uber. The views of the hills and mountains are spectacular. Golf course is First class and Resturant and Bar
Scenic location, nice common building updates and good food and atmosphere.

It was clean , just not a safe area and they don’t care about the safety of their guests
The staff were all very friendly. Location felt safe staying here. I also liked their amenities; the gameroom, mini golf, kid park, and picnic area. The pool was cleaned every morning. The maid service did a nice job keeping the room straightened.

Leaving, being threatened with being removed by police for the incompetence of the entire staff especially management not being on location to correct and train the incompetence of the desk staff
Very clean, updated room. Perfect location for quick sleep after show in Elotes. Had option for this location or by airport and this hotel had way better reviews. Less late night driving from concert venue too. A few drive thru dining options in area.
The Family Suite was the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in. We loved having a king bedroom separate from the living area where our daughter slept on the pull out couch. It gave everyone privacy.

Top Tips
- Secure your Bandera hotel 8-12 weeks in advance for summer holiday weekends (late May to early September), as local properties with under 30 rooms often sell out early. Advance booking helps you avoid last-minute price premiums of 25-30% and maximizes options for room type, amenities, or accessibility requirements.
- Choose riverfront accommodations for direct Medina River access, with many properties just 0-90 meters (0-300 feet) from the water. Riverfront stays allow easy access for tubing or paddling, while Main Street (2nd Street) options place you within 0.1-0.5 miles of restaurants and bars.
- Plan ground transport in advance, as Bandera has no public transit from major airports. San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is 45-55 miles (72-88 km) away, or a 50-70 minute drive; rental cars or private transfers should be booked ahead, especially during events when availability may be limited.
- Check cellular coverage and confirm availability of wired internet or signal boosters before booking, as rural Hill Country service can be inconsistent. Verizon and AT&T typically provide broader rural reach; some hotels may have stronger Wi-Fi in public spaces if in-room connectivity is weak.
- Confirm the air conditioning type and evening noise policy for Main Street rooms. Bandera summer temperatures reach the mid-90s°F (mid-30s°C), and live music in the historic downtown can go late on Friday and Saturday nights; request a quiet room if sensitive to noise or traveling with children.
- If you plan to float or tube the Medina River, confirm parking for trailers and ask about early check-in. Smaller properties may limit trailer spaces, so secure written confirmation for both vehicle and trailer, and inquire if shuttle or on-site gear storage is available.
- Expect limited late-night dining in Bandera, as most restaurants close by 9-10 PM on weekdays. For late arrivals, stock up on snacks and essentials in advance; check if your hotel has after-hours vending or on-site shops, since 24-hour groceries or pharmacies are only available in Boerne or San Antonio.
- Request details on accessibility features before booking, because accessible rooms or step-free cabins are uncommon at older ranch properties. Ask hotels directly for photos and written confirmation of features like roll-in access or grab bars, as online listings may not include complete details.
