Friendly, courteous staff who went out of their way to accommodate guests, even during a very busy weekend. Some of the nicest staff I've encountered at a hotel. They offered a late check-out before I even asked.

Top Tips
- Book 45-90 days in advance for Pocono Raceway events or foliage weekends from late September to mid-October. Hotels often sell out and nightly rates typically increase by 50-100%. Plan ahead to secure availability and the best price.
- Mount Pocono features a split lodging landscape: major chain resorts provide onsite dining and spa services, while Route-940 motels tend to have fewer amenities and may not include elevators. Confirm elevator or step-free access directly before booking if needed.
- For high-speed business Wi-Fi, Mount Airy Casino Resort and Kalahari Resorts consistently deliver reliable service. Verify available wired connections or minimum speed guarantees by calling ahead.
- From December to March, check PennDOT 511 for live road conditions before your trip and expect drives in mountain areas to take 20-60% longer during or following snowfall due to frequent plowing and traffic delays.
- Sign up for Mount Airy or Kalahari resort rewards before booking. Exclusive packages may include $15 to $100 in onsite dining or slot credits that help offset weekend rates.
- Many smaller motels and historic inns inside Mount Pocono borough lack elevators. When accessibility is required, request a ground-floor or accessible room in writing to ensure step-free access.
- Major casinos and resorts in Mount Pocono usually provide complimentary self-parking. Some properties charge for valet or special event parking, so confirm all parking fee details with your hotel before arrival.
- When booking a private cabin in the Pocono foothills, check whether the water supply is potable and whether regular septic pumping is provided, since infrastructure can be limited in rural areas.
