Top Tips
- Book weekday stays 7-14 days in advance for Monday through Thursday, as business travel at Cranberry Woods office park increases demand on those days. Leisure guests can often find greater room availability and potential discounts on weekends, but check for local events or peak periods.
- Choose hotels along the I-79 and Route 19 corridor to keep drive times to Pittsburgh International Airport or downtown within 20-30 minutes off-peak. Major chains like Hilton, Marriott, and Holiday Inn are located right by highway ramps for quicker arrival and departure. Allow extra time during rush hour, as drive times can increase.
- Confirm in writing if your hotel offers an airport shuttle before traveling. If no shuttle is available, plan for an alternate transfer such as rideshare or taxi, with a typical fare of $25-$40 one way for the 25-mile (40 km) trip to Pittsburgh International Airport. Some hotels may offer preferred rates with local taxi providers or rideshare partners.
- Check hotel parking policies ahead of arrival, especially if you need overnight airport parking, have an oversized vehicle, or require electric vehicle charging. Most national brands in Cranberry Township offer free self-parking in open surface lots, but exceptions exist and covered or fenced lots are rare.
- Enroll in chain loyalty programs before your trip or use a corporate rate at national brands such as Hilton or Marriott to access benefits like free breakfast, late checkout, or point accrual. Most hotels in Cranberry Township participate, but corporate rates may require proof of eligibility at check-in.
- Request specific accessibility features in writing, such as roll-in showers, bed height, or visual alarm systems, and confirm your room assignment in advance at ADA-compliant properties. Specify whether you need mobility, hearing, or visual accessibility features, and ask about service animal policies if relevant.
- Allow an extra 15-30 minutes for travel during December through February in case of winter storms or highway incidents. Check Pennsylvania road conditions on the 511PA website or app before you depart; salt trucks and plows are especially active around major hotel clusters in winter.
