The staff was wonderful, very helpful, friendly. The hotel has a lot of character. It is a 3 story old brick building which has been updated. My room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. I never heard a sound. Gluten free food choices on healthy menu.
Calm music when we entered the room and the salt lamp
Everything¿ efficient check in , welcome drinks and puppy packet, competent and sensitive staff, inviting and comfortable decor both in lobby and the room, lovely breakfast area featuring local artist products and providing a sunny zen environment.

Not a DAM thing !!!!
I did it. It was terrible he had terrible customer service. He had no hospitality. He wanted a 100 extra dollars on top of the room cash. You know also said on his website that you can refund it the day you're checking in and he wouldn't do it and it als
Nothing. Unethical staff, dont stay here. Theyll take your money. Theyll make it so youre forced to rethink your choice and youll fine other accommodations but they wont refund you

Top Tips
- Book 2 to 3 months ahead for summer events like the Crooked River Rodeo in July, since prices can rise by 20% to 30% during these dates. Compare rates across major hotel brands, including chain hotels with limited availability, for the best selection.
- Confirm local occupancy taxes of 8% to 10% on your final rate. Oregon has no state sales tax, so you may save 0% to 9% compared to states with combined hotel taxes, and top hotel chains provide an upfront tax summary at checkout.
- Request Wi-Fi speeds of at least 25 to 50 Mbps for remote work, as rural Prineville areas can show 20% to 40% inconsistency due to limited infrastructure. Some leading hotels offer premium Wi-Fi upgrades if you need higher speeds.
- Request air conditioning for summer stays, as temperatures reach 90°F to 100°F, and confirm heating for below-freezing winter nights. Many chain hotels guarantee these features, but always verify in advance, especially at older or independent properties.
- Pay with credit cards to avoid $2 to $4 USD ATM fees per transaction, which are higher than urban averages in rural Prineville. Most major hotel chains accept all major credit cards and often support contactless payments.
- Public transportation options are limited, so consider renting a car or booking accommodations with shuttle service if you need to cover 5 to 10 miles between attractions. Some chain hotels offer shuttles or have local rental agency partnerships; confirm shuttle schedules in advance.
- Request a ground-floor or interior room for outdoor gear storage and quick loading, since many Prineville properties are low-rise with exterior corridors. If you need step-free access or an elevator for accessibility, specify your requirement when booking, as some hotels offer these features.
- Call to confirm specific accessibility features, such as step-in versus roll-in showers, before booking, as older properties may differ in layout. Major hotel chains often list accessibility details online, but direct phone confirmation is recommended for accuracy.
- Prepare for wildfire smoke season from summer to early fall by checking the Air Quality Index (AQI) before travel and asking hotels about recirculating HVAC or HEPA-grade filtration. If you are sensitive, consider bringing a personal mask or portable air purifier; filtration features are sometimes listed on branded hotel sites.
- Reserve your accommodation 2 to 6 weeks in advance for weekends or major events from June to August, as limited branded lodging fills quickly during county fairs and rodeos. Consider loyalty program rates and review flexible cancellation options if booking during high-demand periods.
- Call in advance to confirm parking and trailer/RV policies if you need an oversized-vehicle spot, since dedicated stalls are limited. Some national hotel chains may post parking availability or policies online, but phone confirmation is most reliable.
