Great location!
We've been coming to this hotel for years it has deteriorated somewhat on the outside the mostly the area where people sit outside the fence is broken down it would be very easy for a child to slip down the hill.

Top Tips
- Secure oceanfront rooms by booking at least 4 months ahead for July-September stays. Peak-season rates increase 40-60%, with ocean views averaging $180-$250 USD per night versus $300+ for last-minute bookings. Check for flexible cancellation options if available at major coastal hotel chains.
- Prepay for golf packages at Bandon Dunes to guarantee tee times. Peak season slots sell out 6 or more months in advance; prepaid packages include lodging and save around $100 USD per round. Ask the concierge if packages are exclusive or offer hotel loyalty program points, and check on-property shuttle options if included.
- Confirm hotel Wi-Fi speeds before booking if you plan to work remotely. Many coastal lodges list 'high-speed' but deliver just 5-15 Mbps; staff can specify actual in-room speeds. Ask about accessible business facilities or guest lounge options if Wi-Fi in your room is variable.
- Pack waterproof layers no matter the season, as Bandon averages 150 rainy days a year, including 5-8 in summer months. Many hotels offer drying racks or laundry service to help manage wet clothing; ask about umbrella loans or rain ponchos if commonly provided.
- Save on parking near Old Town by choosing free street spots after 5 p.m. Paid lots charge $2-$5 USD per hour until enforcement ends. Several hotels offer complimentary parking; verify location and availability if you plan to walk to dining and shops, and check with the front desk if hotel shuttles to Old Town operate.
- Skip the hotel breakfast charge of $15-$25 USD per person and visit local bakeries or Tony’s Crab Shack, where hearty menu items start at $9-$12 USD. Ask about grab-and-go options if included with your reservation, and confirm dietary selections in advance, as smaller venues may have limited choices.
- For easier access, request a ground-floor room in older inns, as many historic properties such as Bandon Inn have no elevators and steep stairs. If you require an accessible room, confirm step-free access and bathroom features or ADA-compliant room availability during booking.
- Check tide tables before visiting the beach, as Face Rock State Park access can be blocked 2 hours before and after high tide. Hotel front desks often provide tide charts or links to up-to-date resources, and some digital hotel apps include live tide alerts.
- Use the Bandon Beach Loop Shuttle for wine tasting at $5 USD per day, which helps avoid impaired driving on winding OR-42. Ask your hotel concierge about group pick-up options for larger parties, and see if hotel partnerships or shuttle discounts are available.
- Always confirm 'pet-friendly' policies before booking. Many properties charge a $50 or higher cleaning fee or have breed restrictions. Major chains may offer designated pet rooms or pet amenities like beds and bowls, but advance notice is required.
- Purchase firewood locally, as state law prohibits bringing it from outside due to pest risks. Bundles are available at Face Rock Creamery for $6 USD. Hotels with fire pits may provide approved firewood; ask at the front desk and note any open-fire restrictions during fire danger months.
- For the lowest crowds and rates, visit during winter weekdays. January-February hotel prices drop to $90-$130 USD nightly, and storm-watching at Shore Acres has fewer visitors. Some hotel chains offer weekday specials or bundled packages in low season; check for loyalty member exclusives.
