The lady that checked me in was sooooo nice. I was so tired, I don¿t remember her name. I was only there for about 4 hours (12a-5a), long layover, and just needed some sleep. A dog was barking in the room beside me and she moved me asap so I could sleep.

Top Tips
- Taxi and rideshare to Henderson neighborhoods from Harry Reid International Airport typically require 15-30 minutes and cost $25-$45. For early-morning or late-night flights, pre-book your airport transfer to ensure vehicle availability and minimize wait times.
- Hotels in Green Valley are 10-15 miles closer to both the Las Vegas Strip and the airport than those in Lake Las Vegas, cutting down on commute times. Select Lake Las Vegas for enhanced resort amenities, but anticipate an extra 10-20 minutes travel by car or shuttle.
- From June to August, daytime highs reach 100-110°F (38-43°C); schedule outdoor activities for early morning or after sunset, and verify your hotel’s pool hours and shaded lounge availability for comfort.
- Henderson’s municipal water supply is safe for drinking. Many hotels feature water-conservation measures, including linen-reuse programs; confirm at booking if sustainable operations are a priority for your stay.
- Suburban Henderson hotels routinely provide free self-parking and rooms quieter than casino-resorts on the Strip. Request a room on a higher floor, away from public areas, to reduce late-night noise.
- Explore Water Street District’s walkable dining scene within a few city blocks. For solo evening walks, stick to illuminated main corridors and remain within 2-3 blocks of open venues for added safety.
- Tipping in Henderson aligns with Las Vegas standards: porters and valet attendants typically receive $2-$5 per service; plan to leave $3-$5 daily for housekeeping. Carry small bills for convenience.
- For stronger, dedicated Wi-Fi often needed for work, request executive-level or club-floor access when booking. Confirm internet upgrade fees or day rates in advance to avoid unexpected charges.
- While Henderson’s citywide crime rates are lower than Las Vegas, always lock valuables in the hotel safe and use well-lit routes at night. Ask your hotel about step-free access or shuttle availability if needed.
- During major Las Vegas events, hotel prices in Henderson can rise 20-40%. Book 2-3 months in advance to save up to 25% compared to last-minute rates.
- Expect a 13.38% Clark County room tax and resort fees of $10-$20 per night. Review the full price including taxes and fees on your booking confirmation to avoid budgeting surprises.
- Choose Green Key certified hotels in this arid region; these properties often use low-flow fixtures and water conservation technology, lowering usage by 20-30%.
- If working remotely, verify advertised hotel Wi-Fi speeds—most provide 50-100 Mbps. Request an upper-floor room away from pool areas for a quieter environment and fewer distractions.
- Use credit cards and choose hotel or bank-affiliated ATMs; independent ATMs often charge $3-$5 per transaction. Check your hotel’s on-property ATM locations in advance or ask front desk staff.
