Nothing. Everything is very old.
Approximity to the concert venue
The hotel is connected to Bally's and Caesar's without having to go outside when it's raining. It took until the 3rd day of exploring to figure this out, but it was a much better walk and didn't seem to be as long for some reason.

Staff was great helping to move me to a room with functioning a/c. Location was very convenient to the boardwalk and restaurants. Parking was a very reasonable fee (compared to other properties).
It was very clean
The lobby had a nice sheek look but it had too much confusion and people with kids not being controlled. My room was average but one of the beds had hair on the sides and dust. Covers are bed could use Clorox. Some staff were very nice.

Location! Loved that it was connected to a diner. Guests rooms seem to be soundproof because you can’t hear anything outside of your room. I absolutely loved that the windows were able to open a bit offering fresh air!!!
It was clean and comfortable.
Affordable accommodation for an overnight stay through the New Year compared to competing hotels in the area. Convenient location to commute to/from the boardwalk and casinos.

NOTHING! This hotel is FILTHY! The owners/surly managers could not care any less. Our toilet overflowed and was never repaired. The bathtub had inches of soap scum, for which the chief housekeeper informed us was the "paint" pealing off the bathtub.
Nothing at all.
This hotel is very dirty! They have mold spores all over the place. The carpet stinks the hallway stinks I can't believe they are still operating and they are owned by Wyndam. They need to have an inspection this hotel is very disturbing.

Stayed here as I was camping in Avalon but hurricane Erin was potentially bringing heavy wind gusts so we moved to a hotel. It turned out to be a great location, 50 minutes from Philly or the beach so we did both. Easy food options around vs beach area.

Top Tips
- Save 40-60% by booking hotel stays midweek. Weekend rates average $200-$400 per night compared to $80-$150 Sun-Thurs. Use price calendars or comparison tools to verify rates for your dates.
- Choose bay-facing or floors above 10 to reduce nighttime noise, as Boardwalk-facing rooms may register street noise from bars and events until 2 AM. Confirm room orientation at booking.
- Verify Wi-Fi speed with the hotel if planning to work remotely. Complimentary tiers at casino hotels average 10-25 Mbps, while paid upgrades can reach 50 Mbps or more. Hard Rock and Ocean Casino provide dedicated onsite workspaces.
- Ride the Atlantic City Jitney shuttle for local transit at $2.75 per trip, a cost-effective alternative to taxis or Uber for short distances. Check real-time schedules online during off-peak hours.
- Look for casino hotel parking comp programs. Rates are typically $15-$25 daily, but may be waived at Tropicana and Caesars with 4+ hours of casino play. Confirm requirements with the front desk before parking.
- Request an allergy-friendly room in advance. Only 20% of casino hotels, like Borgata, offer hypoallergenic bedding. Ask the hotel to specify available amenities before arrival.
- Pack warm, layered clothing for beachfront walks, as ocean wind can make it feel 10-15°F cooler than inland, including in summer. Coastal weather may shift quickly, so check local forecasts day-of.
- Withdraw cash from 7-Eleven or Walgreens ATMs on Atlantic Avenue to avoid onsite casino ATM fees, which range from $5 to $8 per transaction.
- Book oceanfront hotels 60-90 days in advance for summer weekends to secure rates of $149-$199. Prices can rise 35-50% to $279+ if booked within 30 days. Confirm cancellation policies before finalizing.
- Reduce nighttime noise by choosing inland hotels north of Missouri Avenue, such as Claridge House. These locations report levels 10-15 dB lower (68-72 dB) than Boardwalk properties (80-85 dB).
- Prepay at non-casino hotels like Courtyard by Marriott to avoid resort fees of $15-$39 nightly, which are often added at check-in. Review your confirmation to verify fee status before arrival.
- Take AC Jitney Association buses for terminal transfers. Fares are $3.00 per ride, about 60% less than UberPool ($7-$9 for comparable trips) from the bus terminal to main hotels.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) when using foreign cards at hotel kiosks. Choose USD for payment to let your home bank process conversion and avoid extra 4-7% in fees.
- Stay at LEED-certified hotels like Hilton Atlantic City during summer water advisories. These properties maintain water pressure using onsite graywater systems, while many non-LEED hotels reduce water pressure by 30-40%.
- Request step-free or ramp access with 72-hour notice at hotels built before 1980, as 78% of such properties may not offer elevators or ramps. Confirm accessible room features when booking.
- Avoid Boardwalk-facing rooms during the July 4th Fireball Festival. These rooms experience noise surges of 18-22 dB (up to 90 dB) and 30% higher rates due to the event. Request bay-facing rooms for quieter nights.
- Use casino hotel loyalty programs, such as Caesars Total Rewards, to waive daily self-parking fees of $18-$25 for Tier 2+ members at Tropicana, Caesars, and Borgata. Check your tier status prior to arrival.
- Carry bottled water during August heat advisories, as indoor humidity in non-climate-controlled hotels can reach 65-70% and tap water may have a chlorine taste, despite being safe.
- If arriving after 6 PM during major events, confirm check-in time with your hotel, as 40% may experience 45-60 minute delays due to staff shortages. Consider contacting the front desk on the day of arrival.
