Il ragazzo che ci ha fatto il check in è stato molto gentile e ci ha anche cambiato stanza senza problemi perché non ci piaceva stare al piano terra.

The hotel was close to the hospital and it advertised breakfast included. That would have made my needing to be at the hospital but grab breakfast easier. I went at the advertised time and after twice for breakfast, and it was not available.
The location
The motel staff were friendly, provided a room on first floor when I requested, late checkout, and provided milk for coffee when I asked. The room was great, clean, white bedding made it look even cleaner. I missed the very hearty continental breakfast.

It was a decent sized room, enough to fit a pack n play for the baby and had a pullout couch for our 5 year old. The pool was heated so it was a good alternative to the beach since the weather wasn¿t fantastic.

Top Tips
- Reserve hotels 30-60 days in advance for summer weekends (June-August) and U.S. holidays such as July 4th, as demand along the Maine coast rises seasonally. Weeknight stays usually have wider availability. Confirm cancellation policies for date changes.
- Select a hotel within 0-1 mile of Spring Point Ledge Light or Bug Light Park to easily explore Willard Beach and the 1.4-mile Spring Point shore path on foot. Direct walking access enhances the coastal experience.
- For travelers with vehicles, choose hotels near the Maine Mall corridor off I-295, where most chains offer onsite parking, helping you avoid typical downtown Portland parking fees of $15-$40 per day. Always verify the parking policy when reserving.
- Leverage proximity to Portland International Jetport (PWM). Most central South Portland hotels are an 8-15 minute drive from the airport during off-peak hours, minimizing ground transfer time. Prearrange shuttle or taxi since ride-share availability may fluctuate.
- To reduce traffic noise, request a room set back from I-295, U.S. Route 1, or the Maine Mall strip. Ask about 'waterfront' or 'river-facing' units to access morning light and quieter stays, subject to availability.
- Large chain hotels generally guarantee accessible rooms, including step-free entry and ADA features, while historic inns may have stairs or limited elevators. Explicitly book an 'accessible room' or confirm step-free access for mobility needs.
- To reach Portland’s ferry terminal for island day trips, drive or use local bus routes; commute time averages 10-20 minutes from South Portland, as there is no direct passenger ferry. Confirm the current bus schedule for off-peak departures.
- Book during shoulder seasons (October-November and January-March) to secure noticeably lower hotel rates and more availability. Verify which amenities, such as breakfast or food service, remain available since some seasonal hotels may limit services.
