The room was clean and the location is great.
Location and staff
It was clean and close to the beach, which were my top priorities. One reason for choosing it was the absence of carpet, adding to the clean feeling.

Cleaning staff did really well and kept us full with supplies.
It was a decent sized room, enough to fit a pack n play for the baby and had a pullout couch for our 5 year old. The pool was heated so it was a good alternative to the beach since the weather wasn¿t fantastic.

Top Tips
- Book your summer stay 6-12 weeks ahead, especially for weekend visits, as beachfront rooms often sell out and rates increase 25-40% from late June through Labor Day. Consider using price alerts or loyalty program early access for better deals.
- Look for hotels within 0.5 miles of Old Orchard Beach Pier for easy access to rides and the shoreline. These locations typically carry a 10-15% price premium and may be livelier until 11:00 PM on weekends, so request a quieter room or higher floor if you are sensitive to noise.
- Hotels on Route 1 (about 0.5-1.5 miles inland) usually offer lower nightly rates and include on-site parking, helping you avoid daily lot fees or long walks from public lots. Ask if your hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to the beach during peak months.
- Visiting in April-May or September-October usually means 20-30% lower hotel rates and fewer crowds. Check for local festivals or indoor amenities like pools or spas during these periods, as many smaller motels close or reduce front desk hours from November to April.
- If you plan to work remotely, confirm that your hotel Wi-Fi speed is at least 25 Mbps, since smaller properties can vary in reliability. You may also want to verify if a business center or lobby workspace is available for guests.
- Request a ground-floor or ADA-designated room if you have mobility needs, as many older hotels have exterior corridors and no elevators. Contact the property to confirm accessibility features such as step-free entry and visual alarms.
- Parking fees in peak season often range from $15-$25 USD per day, or you can look for properties with complimentary on-site parking. If you drive an electric vehicle, check if the hotel has EV charging stations on site before booking.
- Travel time from Portland Jetport (PWM) averages 25-35 minutes for the 16-mile drive. Ask if your hotel offers airport shuttle service in summer, or consider reserving a taxi if you arrive after 7 PM, since public transit runs infrequently outside peak months.
- Sustainability certifications are uncommon, so if environmental responsibility matters to you, inquire about policies such as onsite recycling, refillable amenities, or linen reuse programs.
